“Great Park, views, lighthouse.”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

Really good place to jog, bike ride, or just walk. Lots of historical structures here scattered about the park, including an old Fort, an old tower, and several canon batteries.

“Relaxing place”
Reviewed 8 August 2014

We took a nice walk through Point Pleasant Park and it was a very relaxing place to be. There were lots of monuments to look at, and the Atlantic Ocean was gorgeous (but very cold) Runners, walkers, dog-walkers of all ages were incredibly friendly.

“Wonderful afternoon walk”
Reviewed 8 August 2014

My family enjoyed a 2 hour afternoon walk in Point Pleasant. There was a little bit of everything. Walking in the woods, historic fortifications, memorial monuments, and rock skipping. It's hard to beat this park for a few hours of activity, and free parking too!

“An Urban Oasis”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

Situated at the entrance to Halifax harbour it combines a perfect combination of both woods and water. Two parking lots makes access easy. With numerous wooded trails it's ideal for a leisurely walk, a run, a bike or walk/run the dog. There are several historic fortifications with descriptive panels. What really makes this park so unique is the wide open grass areas all around the perimeter of the park's peninsula shape that overlook the water. A perfect place to picnic and being the second largest natural harbour in the world many different ships pass by , visually very entertaining. A truly relaxing spot well worth the time to explore.

“Nature in the city”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

Great park overlooking the harbor. Added benefit -- Shakespeare by the Sea! We saw Taming of the Shrew on our last night in Halifax at the park. It was a wonderful way to end our vacation. Plenty of parking, easy trails, lots of trees and scenery.
