The hotel is well located in Halifax. Close to the waterfront. The negative points are as follow; Room not ready upon arrival, even past 15h00. Bed too soft, and cleanliness so! so! As we found left over chips under the chairs....

I stayed at the Prince George the night before my wedding and on my wedding night. The rooms were beautiful and very relaxing. I regretted walking around barefoot in the room on my wedding day though, as the carpets turned the soles of my feet black and due to the frazzled nature of the day and of myself I had no time to re-wash them before putting on my wedding shoes.

Live in area; attending a family wedding, so decided to stay the night. Booked a package which included parking. This property has undergone renos - very nice. Recommend buffet breakfast in the Terrace Room.

Fantastic staff, excellent, clean and modern accommodation, close to everything you want to walk to in Halifax. Be prepared to walk uphill to return to the hotel after dinner or pubbing along the waterfront... but that is Halifax in it's entirety!

I was recommended this hotel, and having stayed there would now also recommend it! The location is great, a few minutes walk to everywhere, the hotel and rooms are excellent, bright and clean, and the price is reasonable.

If you are looking for a luxurious place to stay in Nova Scotia but yet it retains the helpful and friendly qualities that folks from Canada are famous for look no further than the Prince George in halifax. From the comfortable and inviting rooms to the complimentary snacks and beverages served most of the day on the sixth floor. The prince George is well within walking distance to many of the varied and interesting attractions and restaurants that Halifax has to offer. On return to your room clean up with the wonderful Aveda products in your bathroom. With large tv and large windows you would never have to leave the room for visual entertainment but the you would miss all the wonderful activity of the city. Our room also came with a refrigerator which contained two bottles of chilled water apon our arrival. The room service was excellent and reasonable with service running quite late. The fact that housekeeping work on your timetable (asking if and when you would like your room cleaned) is great. Our stay in Halifax happened to fall on Canada day with most of the attractions being free admission on that day. What a wonderful treat for visitors and citizens alike .Thank you Halifax and the staff of the Prince George for making our stay so wonderful and counting the days until we can once again be in your friendly embrace

OK I have stayed in some of the best hotels in the world, certainly the most expensive. But the modestly priced Prince George is equal or superior to them in many ways especially in customer services. The staff goes beyond the reasonable to make the guest comfortable and satisfied. The bar is state of the art or beyond the envelope with one of the most sophisticated bar tenders I have ever encountered. The restaurant , GIO, is outstanding. The rooms are well designed and very comfortable. My old memories of Halifax have been erased by a great hotel and a vibrant bar and restaurant scene. This was HQ for our Tauck Tour of the Maritimes. First class in every way.

Room Tip: Try to view the Fort.
