I am glad you enjoyed the wedding Fiosorelli...... New queen sized beds have been ordered to replace all double beds. We have safes in our suites and on our Crown Floor so maybe you might like to check out what our Crown Floors is all about on your next stay with us? Take care and enjoy the rest of your summer.
From their website we were expecting a small, more interment facility instead of the mega one we encountered (takes up an entire city block). The amenities are not worth the extra price charged for executive suites. Room was spacious and well-appointed. Had little contact with the staff and the concierge was never obvious. Pleasant stay; just a little disappointed.
Sorry we weren't a match for you Neil W. I appreciate your kind comments and if I can ever help you find a "smaller" spot please email me and I will do my best to help you out so you enjoy your time in this awesome city. My email is email@example.com
Love the hotel and its "New Fresh"look. Bar off the lobby is a great addition and a wonderful visual as you enter the hotel. Walk in shower in the bathroom is a great idea with the waterfall showerhead. Lounge on the Crowne Floor offered excellent choices for breakfast and a quiet spot to sit and relax. The concierge/ doormen were great, even taking the time to clean my windshield from the bugs I met along the way. There was a warmth and genuine interest from staff throughout our stay. The Prince Georg is the hotel of choice in Halifax for my family and friends.
Thank you for the great review and all your support - see you soon.
A wonderful hotel in all respects. First class accomodations and service throughout, provided by friendly, helpful staff. Food at Gio's was excellent.
Hotel was withing easy walking distance of everything we wanted to visit in Halifax.
Thank you Earl K....see you again we hope.
Very modern yet still classy lobby combined with nice sized room resulted in a pleasurable stay. The shower stall was perfect and much more appreciated than a bathtub and the tiles on the floor seemed almost electric. Demerits for a slower wifi internet connection in the room (still worked OK), one of two elevators out of service and unfortunately a rock concert that didn't start until 10 pm across the street to the north at the Halifax Metro Center (bad luck).
I am glad you enjoyed your time with us Bryan Y...... Go Bears Go!
Sadly we were disturbed abruptly by a group of people who were talking and laughing loudly in the hotel corridor after leaving a party held in a room near by. After asking them if they could keep the noise down, we called the front desk. The security person who answered appeared a little frustrated, which may have been because he’d received so many calls about the disturbance. Still, he offered no apology but said he would attend to ‘it’. I had just started to settle down once more when the noise started up again which resulted in yet another call to the front desk. Disgruntled he said he would go to the room and sort it out. Sadly, this clearly didn’t happened as the noise continued until 1.30am.
It wasn’t until we told the front desk in the morning that we received our first apology. Frustrated and very tired after travelling to Halifax we decided not the stay the second night as planned based on the previous night’s experience.
Perhaps it would be helpful if the hotel placed some kind of glass or divide by the elevator preventing those guest who use the rooms near by from being disturbed by the noise from people while they wait for the elevator. A different hotel, which we recently stayed in, had placed a notice on the doors (that divide the elevator area from the corridor) to inform all guests they were now entering an area designated as a ‘quiet area’ and to be. Maybe this is something that could be added to your hotel too?
Sorry 2014August.... I hate when one guest ruins another guests stay..... I am sorry we didn't react quicker so the impact on you and others was lessened. Again my apologies.
