This hotel was well-maintained and beautifully clean in all the nooks and crannies of an old property. The roms looked fresh and welcoming. The jacuzzi bath was a luxury in the spacious bathroom. The bedroom was adequate in size with an extremely comfortable bed.
We particularly enjoyed the tea/coffee which was available in the lobby at all times which could be drunk either in the bedroom or the comfortable lounge.
The breakfast room and the breakfast were, however, adequate but unexciting. The dining room was light but like a canteen and did not reflect the style of the rest of the hotel.
The receptionists were very helpful and friendly.
The hotel is extremely convenient for the historic town of Halifax so we did not need a car at all. Parking though would have been easy.
if we returned to Halifax we would not hesitate to use this hotel again and we would recommend it. More
