We stayed here for three nights last summer, and for those doing the driving tour of Nova Scotia, it's a fabulous base for the Halifax and Peggy's Cove area. Right off the main highway it stands like a beacon, a very convenient location. When we went to the harbour area we just parked at one of the many lots, so it was no problem getting to downtown.
The rooms were very nice, very clean (as most Holiday Inn Expresses are), and the continental breeakfast area was spacious and well laid out, much above the usual setup at chain hotels. Right next door is a small plaza where there's a pizza place, and of course the east coast specialty known as Donaires are available.
The staff was a bit impersonal, so that was the only negative.
