Very nice walk through the gardens. Flowers and trees (autumn) were beautiful. Very peaceful in the middle of the city.

This is a great getaway from the traffic and construction in Halifax. A stroll around the gardens will drop your blood pressure and provide a calming event. Even in October there are flowers blooming and the gardens are very well maintained. This is a must visit if you are in Halifax.

Stopped by the public gardens mid October on a dreary Saturday afternoon. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised that there were still several flowers in bloom. It’s a lovely place to go for a walk and find a bench to sit down and enjoy a coffee or other hot drink from the little coffee shop located in the gardens. I’m sure it would be much busier but also much more beautiful in the summer (plus you could enjoy an ice cream).

Greatest park for walking with children, friend, wife or alone. Peaceful and zen spot in the heart of noisy downtown.
