“Very well-run, great adventure”
Reviewed 13 August 2013

From the very start of our trip planning, Ryan responded very promptly to my emails and answered my many questions. He also kindly accommodated our diet restrictions and changes in plans. Based on our correspondence, we were pretty sure we would have a great time in Nova Scotia. We definitely did. We had so much fun on the two tours we were took part of.

On the first tour, we went to Peggy's Cove, but not right away. We spent some time hiking around an area that was away from the crowds and gave the most scenic views of the Cove. We learned about the geology and ecology of the area and took in the beautiful surroundings. We then headed to Peggy's Cove area where we had a great picnic lunch with some time to explore the picturesque town.

The next day, we went on another tour to Cape Split with a small group. We stopped at several look-outs with gorgeous views. It was so interesting to learn about the area from someone who grew up there and so passionate about it. Jesse was a great friendly guide. He lead our hike through Cape Split, which was not as difficult as I anticipated at all. The views at the end were definitely worth it.

These tours were definitely highlights of our trip. The only thing to keep in mind is that the timeframes on the websites are only guidelines. Both our tours started very punctually but ended later in the day. We loved the areas and didn't want the tours to end so early anyway.

“Top Notch”
Reviewed 7 August 2013

This tour company is quite possibly the best thing I have ever done on vacation and the price is amazing.

The tour guides are friendly and knowledgeable. They prepare an amazing lunch (best lunch I have had outdoors hands down) and take you on hikes you would never find on your own.

Highly recommend and would have gone on them all if I had had time on my vacation. My girlfriend and I did both:

* The Peggy's Cove hike/tour which was quite a good time and had views you won't see on any other tour. The tour guide Ryan is the only guy who takes people on this hike.
*The Cape Split hike which provide some breath taking views and Jessie was quite a good guide. Very willing to take our photos.

All in all you can't go wrong with these guys.

“Cape Split - WOW!!!!”
Reviewed 7 August 2013

I have previously done the Down By the Bay tour with Ryan, and was highly impressed with the itinerary. The company offers a good variety of hiking tours, which brings people to many beautiful spots in Nova Scotia. The guides are knowledgeable and extremely friendly, explaining not only the history of the region, but also providing information on the geological formation, flora and fauna of the region.

I brought my colleague on the Cape Split tour, and Jesse was our guide. The weather was glorious and was perfect for hiking. We had a great hike and the view from Cape Split was to die for! Gorgeous view of the Bay of Fundy, and we had our lunch picnic on the Cape. It was so enjoyable that it hardly felt like we had walked 16km at the end of the day! And although our trip went a little overtime (we had too much fun up on the Cape), Jesse still made time for an ice cream stop at Wolfville, the perfect ending to a great day.

Highly recommend the company for those who do not drive, who prefer the road less traveled, and who wants to know more about the ecological system of Nova Scotia.

“Best way to see Peggy's Cove”
Reviewed 17 July 2013

We had a great time with our tour guide Jesse. We started off with a stop at the botanical gardens and Citadel (just the outside), then headed towards Peggy's Cove. We made a stop along the way in a tiny fishing village that was quite picturesque. Then we stopped about 5 minutes from Peggy's Cove and hiked around the hilly area for a bit. Warning: take shoes that can get muddy and wear pants; several of the people in our group who had shorts on were eaten by mosquitos. The hike was the best part - the countryside is beautiful. We then continued on in the van to Peggy's Cove, where we had time to explore the area on our own, and then ate a snack lunch (fruit, veggies, hummus, smoked sausage, cheese, crackers, and pita). Afterwards, he dropped us off where we needed to go. My only advice to this company would be to accept credit card payments; paying in cash was a hassle.

“Down by the Bay”
Reviewed 15 July 2013

Jesse took 7 of us of varying ages on a day-long trip around the northern part of the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia to Wolfville, Baxter's Harbour, Hall's Harbour, the lookout over Annapolis Valley, and to a tasting at the Gaspereau winery. He even packed a delicious picnic lunch for us to eat at the park overlooking the bay. Great camaraderie, great weather (that never hurts) and a guide who grew up loving the area. A perfect excursion.
