This tour was great. All the correspondence I had with Lucinda before the tour was prompt and informative and gave me the feeling we were in good hands. We had a group of 7 and Lucinda made sure she found a vehicle that would comfortably seat all of us. Peggy's Cove was breathtakingly beautiful. Although the weather was cold at the end of October, we were lucky to have a pretty and sunny day. "Bubbles", our driver, was courteous, informative and personable. I would highly recommend this tour if you are in Halifax. Great value for the price. We prefer to organize our own tours rather than take ship's excursions as it is so much better with a smaller group and we find that the tours are more in depth when given by locals.

We had a blast on the tour! We really enjoyed Al and he was very knowledgeable about everything, including the Titanic cemetary and all of the wooden sculptures made from the trees around Halifax after the hurricane in 2009. We loved seeing Peggy's Cove and the lobsters at Ryder's were fantastic. We even got to visit one of the fishing cottages that some of his friends stay at for part of the year. All in all, we enjoyed everything very much. Al asked us along the way what we wanted to do so we felt very comfortable with our tour. Thanks again.

We arrived on Cunard QM2 having pre arranged a taxi trip to see all the sights of Halifax. I had been delighted with the email responses and was confident we would have a wonderful day. Richard was waiting in the arrivals hall and we started our trip with a visit to Peggy's Cove. A trip to Ryers for the best lobster I have ever tasted and then onto other stops which included a visit to the Titanic graves in Halifax and a tour of the city and its landmarks. We had a wonderful cruise and our trip to Halifax was one of the highlights. Thank you Richard and Lucinda!

Were were cruising on Holland America from Quebec through to Boston. We pre-booked two vans following other reviews on Trip Advisor. From the first email Lucinda was quick to respond and so helpful in organising the itinerary for our day. There were six of us in each van travelling from Australia. Another pleasant surprise was that we did not have to pay any deposit and payment was not made until the completion of the tour. We were met at the Pier by Al with a sign and a big smile. This tour was a highlight of our trip and despite the wet day it was a very pleasant time spent in Halifax. Al was very informative answering our many questions as we drove along and stopping to enable us to take photos of the beautiful surroundings. We visited firstly the Maple Syrup venue to avoid the rain and hoping it would clear. We visited Ryers Lobsters and fortunately the rain had stopped and we were able to sit outside on the picnic tables and enjoy the amazing freshly cooked 2lb lobsters which Al broke up for us. Our pictures of Peggys cove may be a bit foggy but our memories of a wonderful day will remain with us always. We would highly recommend this Tour company. Thankyou Lucinda and Al.

We had taken the Royal Caribbean's Brilliance of the Seas out of Boston on a 7-day New England-Canada cruise (Oct 2013).

HALIFAX - 10/18: We had a great guide for a look at the city, and trip to Peggy's Cove. Mr. Al DesLaurier met us at the terminal, and six of us fit fine in his van. We toured the historical spots in the city, hit the sugar shack (Acadian Maple Products) for a small tour/tasting and buying frenzy, then to the Titanic Grave Sites, where Al explained the who and the why of Titanic sinking and the relationship to Nova Scotia.

We then stopped in Indian Harbor at Ryer's to order 2lb lobsters each for lunch, and while Ryer's prepared them Al took us to a fishing shack for an up-close and personal visit with his friend Peter Dodge, then we were off to Peggy's Cove. Terrific! Then back to Ryer's picnic tables to eat some lazy-man lobsters (all broken down for us by Mr. Ryer and Al). Al was very engaging and personal. As a native Nova Scotian, we were delighted to hear Al talk about his upbringing in NS - just the kind of cultural background that you can't get from the big bus outfits. In fact, this was yet another plus - Al managed to keep us ahead of the buses at our stops - no small feat.

On our return to the ship, Al offered us the option of visiting The Boardwalk in town, and take a easy walk back to ship (and wear off the lobster), or he'd happily take us back directly to the ship. Outstanding guide, and HELLUVA human being!
