“Good for dog walking and swimming”

Long Lake Provincial Park
Ranked #49 of 153 things to do in Halifax
Attraction details
Reviewed 9 July 2013

There is no beach but people swim off the granite rock. It is a 10-15 stroll into the park to reach the swimming area. There is no life guard on duty.

There is a small parking lot along the St. Margaret's Bay Road, just down from where it intersects with Prospect Road, but on hot, sunny days the parking lot is full and people park up and down the Bay Road.

Beyond the swimming place is a nice, level hike, approximately 5 kms.
