Stayed in a suite for a week, which was a good size. Though it was let down by a very small wardrobe and not having a mirror in the living room area, not ideal for three ladies. It's main problem is the outside noise. When you stay in a city, you do except that it will be noisy. This of course can be solved by having having ie. triple glazed windows etc, which this hotel does not have. The construction site outside my room started work every week day at 7:00am. This was compounded by the fact that the bars and restaurants closed around 2:00am. As I was sleeping nearest to the window, needless to say I did not get much sleep. We did inform the staff at the desk, they stated we could upgrade to another room! Though the construction site will eventually finish. the bars and restaurants will stay. No one, regardless of their length of stay should not be able to sleep due to outside noise. This needs to be resolved, not just changing rooms whether it is for an additional cost or not. However the pluses ironically are that it is close to bars and restaurants. It is also not far from the waterfront and also the citadel. The breakfast is good, with a good selection of choices. The staff are very friendly. I have stayed in the heart of some of the most busy cities in the world, and this is the first time I have had trouble sleeping due to outside noise. Until the hotel does something about resolving the issues with poor soundproofing, I cannot recommend it.
