Service was decent but limited options for breakfast and overpriced for what you get. Not a single "healthy" option, no choice of how you want your eggs cooked (hope you like scrambled), no option for bread, and everything is plated on a bed of nasty iceberg lettuce (yuck). I got 3 teeny pancakes with bacon for $8.99+tax. Not worth it at all and will never return.

Freeman's has been around for a long, long time. It must be doing something right. Best known for their pizza, the food is mostly pub style, complete with a little grease. They have a decent selection of beer but wine selection is limited to the usuals.

Decide is very much diner/pub style but works well even if it is dated.

Service was friendly, attentive and very fast so don't hesitate to grab a bite before a show at the Oxford.

There is seating at the bar, booths, and outdoor seating in the summer.

Location is business district of Quinpool Road, a short drive to the Oxford Theatre.

This is a great pub and restaurant, that caters to the gluten free society, they have a menu that is dedicated to gluten free choices.
The pizza is a 12" thin crust. You have 3 choices of pizza or you can build your own. The crust is very tasty, not dry or crumbly or hard, it has a very nice texture.
I have also ordered there sweet potato patty on a gf bun, again I found the same with the bun as I did with the pizza crust.
The staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and comfortable.
In fact after a couple of visits they will not only remember you by name, but also what you like to order which is very impressive.
A great place to eat, with great staff, a place not to b missed if you are visiting Halifax, also being situated on Quinpoll means you are close to the downtown core

My friend and I discovered this restaurant by default. We chose it because it offers Gluten Free choices. We tried it about a year ago and whenever we are in Halifax this is where we go to eat!! The staff are second to none, always accommodating and friendly. The food is excellent, the portions generous and everything made fresh to order. I have never been disappointed.
Do not miss this place if you are ever in the area!!

About 30 people came to lunch and the service was okay considering the number of people. I got there a little late and had to wait for others to be served before getting a menu. The grilled vegies and Greek food were great. Wouldn't advise Mexican from here. The management and staff were excellent at making sure we were satisfied with our meals.
