“Good find near hotel!”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

Walked in due to close proximity to hotel. Irish music and vociferous crowd singing and doing/attempting Irish dancing. Fun to watch. Sat and attended to right away. Poured a perfect pint of Guiness. Food was ok but atmosphere and beer best of the visit.

“True East Coast Experience”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

Was recommended by a friend on a Sunday afternoon. So glad we went! Irish musicians and dancers were jamming when we arrived around 3PM. It was really great for atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and happy. Even the patrons were friendly! They also have pub souvenirs like T-shirts, ball caps and glassware. Who wants to be frequenting the shops when you can enjoy some pints and music instead?! The souvenirs come to you!

“Good Food and Great Live Music”
Reviewed 14 April 2014

We went to The Old Triangle Irish Ale House on the recommendation of a Haligonian friend from home. She suggested that if we wanted to be a part of the live music we'd better get there early and sit right by the bar. We followed her advice. And it was quiet at first but gradually increased in volume over the course of the evening. We were a party of 2 a a table for 4 so when a young group of 3 friends came in we offered to let them join us. Despite the age difference we had a wonderful evening!

The food was good, the Gluten Free chocolate cake was heavenly.

The musicians were fantastic and really got the crowd involved!

I would recommend this pub to anyone.

“Old reliable”
Reviewed 7 April 2014

I go to The Old Triangle regularly throughout the year. It is one of the best Halifax pubs for food and socializing. The pan fried Haddock is particularly good and the beer selection is excellent. The acoustics on the upper level need some adjustment though. When there is a crowd, it is difficult to hear your companions. Choose the lower level or seats by the windows and enjoy crisp service and great pub fare.

Found this spot while walking around downtown. Nice patio location by the street. Friendly waitress. Fish & Chips and drinks were great.
