Description: The Old Triangle is an Irish family owned traditional Irish pub established in 2000. We feature an extensive menu of hand crafted Irish & Maritime dishes, 22 taps of local and international brews and an excellent selection of wines, hand picked by our in house sommelier. We feature live music 7 nights a week, matinees on Saturday, Irish dancing and live sessions Sunday afternoons. Our upstairs Seanchai (pronounced shan-a-kee) has Quiz Night on Tuesdays and is also available for private events of up to 80 guests. We are proud to have the finest, friendliest staff in the city, a beautiful summer patio and a warm welcome for all who enter.

Our cruise excursion was walking through Halifax. We stopped here for lunch. We shared the fish bites which were good. Our friends had fish and chips. I was surprised the two meals tasted so different. I guess the fish bites had a different batter. I liked the fish from the fish and chips better. It looked like a fun night spot but we weren't there long enough to find out.

Have visited many times and the food, staff, atmosphere, and drink are always top notch. Many night there's live music. Great location to the waterfront and many downtown shops. Last meal was the pastrami sandwich and a could of Harps. Delicious. Will go back. Beware if you have mobility issues as the washrooms are downstairs. Will continue to visit this wonderful Halifax pub.

We popped in during our stay for a beer and stayed for dinner. Loud pub atmosphere might not suit some, but the portions were large and the food fine. It wasn't the best meal we had in Canada but it was well priced and well delivered. I can imagine a live music night would be good fun!
