Pick up a "Halifax "mobimaps" at your hotel or visitor's center and by using the coupon you get a large plate of mussels for $2.99. They have a good variety of beers and also serve large portions of other foods at reasonable prices. They are located close to The Citadel and about 7 blocks up the hill from the Harbour and therefore do not have the touristy prices.

The poor server was serving and busing the entire restaurant on his own, yet still managed to have our food on the table within 5-10 minutes and refill my water 3 times. I mean, the restaurant wasn't packed, but there were at least 8-10 active tables and this guy single-handedly took care of all of them (apparently the other server did not show up). I have worked as a server, and still do from time to time, but I'd have never been able to serve so many people as effectively as this server did.

As for the food... I ordered the Caesar salad; however, it did not have Parmesan in it. I asked for Parmesan and, after reporting to the kitchen, the server told me that they have no Parmesan. I thought this was very weird for a Caesar salad. Had I known there was no Parmesan, I would have ordered something else. The server brought me a little bowl of marble cheese, which I appreciated and added to the salad. Some of the lettuce was a little wilted, but besides that and the lack of Parmesan, the salad wasn't too bad. There were lots of yummy croutons and bacon pieces in there, which was nice.

My boyfriend ordered the quesadilla, but was told they have no tortillas. We thought this was pretty odd, especially considering this was the afternoon of the discounted quesadilla day! He got the clubhouse sandwich with fries instead. We agreed that the sandwich was great! The chicken was thick and yummy.

There were also no free refills on fountain soda, which we thought was a little silly for a pub.

We really appreciate your taking the time to highlight Jason's excellent customer service.
A compliment goes a long way and we will definitely pass it along to him.

Please allow us this opportunity to apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the tortillas and parmesan. We sincerely regret we fell short and thank you for the opportunity to improve.

Nice enough pub with less expensive pub food. Very busy. They do have plenty of TV's and show most sports including EPL and Rugby. Enjoyed the Mystique.

Walked by a sign for a $2.99 Breakfast (3eggs, 4 strips bacon, 2 slices whole wheat toast and strawberry jam) and headed in to the packed pub with outside patio. The waiter quickly came and cleaned the only empty table, gave us menus and took our order. The breakfast was prepared as ordered and served with mild coffee.
They have daily specials at super prices so it is worth a visit if you are looking for a quick, tasty meal.
