“Excellent!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014

After being blessed to find my friend that I haven't seen for 29 years we decided to meet half way which happened to be in Bellville Ontario. My dear friend found Montrose Inn by googling. My goodness what a lucky find! Denise knew what a special meeting this was for both of us so she had our tea set up on the most magnificent porch. The food was great and Denise the owner could not have been kinder. We sat for over 5 hours and enjoyed every second of the experience of the Montrose Inn.
Would love to go back to stay!

What a wonderful trip back to the days of Gone With The Wind. The southern style B&B is amazing and the hard work and attention to detail pays off. The hosts, Dianne and Wayne, make you feel right at home. They are both very warm and welcoming! Our room was beautiful, bed very comfortable, and very relaxing. Breakfast was delicious and our hosts joined us for a time of sharing experiences. All in all, a terrific time and look forward to returning. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay!

I spent 3 days here for a conference did not spend the night though. The inn keepers gave us a full tour and history of the inn. Every room in that house has a story. The original finishings have all been restored. The honeymoon sweet has a modern jacuzzi tub in it. I loved every moment I was there. The grounds the view of the bay the food, all outstanding. Its rich history in the community should not be missed.
It's currently for sale and I highly recommend going here, even if its just for tea. Hope the new owners share it as an inn with the community.
Trust me its a beautiful place not to be missed.

Room Tip: Honeymoon suite if you can get it. Better yet get married there!

Great sleep, great breakfast.

I would have preferred to be in one of the two bigger rooms that have the big bathtubs, but our room was very pleasant.

The house is very gorgeous. Love how it was furnished.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Montrose Inn to visit my mom who lives in Trenton. The Inn is a lovely example of antebellum architecture built in 1916. The Inn is a luxury bed and breakfast and is also available for intimate weddings, private dinner parties business meetings and afternoon teas by reservation. The inside of the Inn is nicely appointed and very comfortable. Free wi fi is available. We stayed in the Graham suite and the room was clean, tastefully decorated and the bed was comfortable with nice linens. We had a private bathroom during our stay. Breakfast was delicious and it consisted of fresh fruit, eggs benedict. muffins and wonderful coffee. Dianne and Wayne were wonderful hosts and made us feel like family with their friendly conversation and local knowledge. A wonderful spot and we would highly recommend it!!!!!!

Room Tip: we stayed in the GRAHAM SUITE AND it was nicely appointed

We spent one night in this lovely antebellum home. Diane, the owner, was simply lovely, showing us around her home and sitting with us at breakfast. The breakfast, by the way, included a delicious quiche, delectable muffins, fresh fruit and every beverage imaginable. We stayed in the Graham suite which was lovingly decorated and very comfortable. Every room has access to the veranda with rocking chairs and a view of the water. We had asked for a room with a private bath and since the rooms with private bath were already booked, she did not rent out the other room that would ordinarily share that bath. Diane was amazingly accommodating and even moved some furniture around so that MHD could had more room to work on his computer. I highly recommend this inn and wish that we had been able to stay more than one night. I hear she serves a lovely afternoon tea, also, but we were unable to partake on this visit. Maybe next time!

Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and comfortable B&B. The owners are very helpful and made us feel really welcome. Breakfast was delicious including fresh fruit, good coffee and some superb French toast. Everything was perfect. Thank you.
