“Great place to stay!”
Reviewed 13 June 2011

No complaints for our stay. 3 nights. Nice clean room. Looks like new carpets throughout. We stayed in a king suite. Nice to have the sitting area with it's own tv! Wifi worked well too!

This quiet, clean hotel made for a very enjoyable stay. We were pleasantly surprised when our room with two queen beds also had a pull out couch and a mini-fridge. It was more than we expected.

The complimentary breakfast was good, with lots of selection.

We also enjoyed spending time in the pool and though we didn't make it to the hot tub, it is a nice added feature.

This hotel was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities we required... all at a great value!

While the room & complimentary breakfast were good, the front desk was terrible. I had challenges checking in (30+ minutes) and the hotel erroneously pre-authorized my credit card for $6,000. They knew about the error but decided to do nothing to correct it - they were incredibly unhelpful and explained that it had happened to many people and I shouldn't be upset. I will not return!

This was my second stay at this hotel. Attended a wedding in town, and got a great deal on this hotel. Staff are excellent. Rooms are gorgeous for this class of hotel. Beds are really comfy. Rooms have a mini fridge and microwave in them. Rooms also have a sofa bed. Hotel is conveniently located to the highway, shopping, restaurants. The hotel includes breakfast, but we've never taken advantage of it because we like to sleep in. I believe they have a pool and hot tub as well.
Try this hotel! You won't be disappointed.

The Fairfield in Belleville is well located near the highway, ideal for business travel, has free wi-fi and the bed was comfortable which are good plus points but a comfortable bed doesn't help when the room is located next to some sort of utilities room delivering a constant background noise. The "fresh air window" is a joke, a tiny gap meaning that my room remained the musty recycled air affair that I have come to expect from chain hotels in North America. The bath had obviously been painted to try and freshen up the decor but that paint was now peeling off. The service in the hotel has been stripped back to more or less nothing, the free breakfast was thoroughly uninspiring with no bar or restaurant. There are lots of local bars and restaurants in the area but sometimes after a long journey you just want to be able to get something quick and easy at your hotel, particularly if you are traveling on your own. It's nice that the rooms have a microwave and fridge but the service was so poor the staff couldn't even come up with a plastic fork for me to eat my microwave meal with. A usable hotel with no personality and no absolutely no frills.

Location: The location is right off the Highway 401 which is convenient for travellers. The hotel itself is located near an area full of malls and strip plazas with lots of fast food chains.
We used the hotel, as so many others do, as a launch point to the Sandbanks Provincial park, Picton area, Wapoos area. Time between hotel and these destinations is about 30-40 minutes.
Check in/out: No issues. Phone checkout is convenient.
Rooms: Rooms are quite spacious and clean. I saw both a traditional room with twin queen beds and an extended king. The King room had a large sitting area with a couch and sitting chair and coffee table. It faced a flat screen 26' TV and there was also a portable stereo under the TV. The room also had a microwave and empty mini fridge to store your drinks. There was a desk and chair beside the sitting area. The sitting room TV was built into the wall that angled into the middle of the room to create a partition between the sitting area and the bed. The bed had a separate TV and remote as well. The room comes with an iron and hair dryer and basic shampoo and lotion and soap. There is no safe in the room. My impression of the room was good, but the bathroom seemed very small compared the size of the room.
Facilities: The facilities has no elevator. It is a two story hotel/motel style. The hotel does have a very nice, quite large, indoor pool and hot tub. Children will enjoy it. It was clean and heated (reasonably). There are washrooms near the pool through a set of doors, but no change room.
Dining: There is no restaurant in the building. If you want to get something to eat, you will have to drive to one of the many fast food joints around on North Front Street. Walking to a restaurant is possible, but you probably will want to drive. Breakfast is served during set time. Breakfast has cereals and breads, muffins and pasteries. They had two do it yourself 2 minute waffle makers. They also had boiled, cold eggs in the fridge. The only issue we had (and others did as well) is that in a scramble style breakfast format, there were not enough tables and chairs. They could fit in more tables without reducing the flow. Peak time (on the weekend seems to be from 8-9AM).
Rest quality: Overall we slept well. Bed, sheet and pillow were all comfortable. I also think the main reason for a good night sleep was that the room location was on the second floor in a more out of the way spot. I did not hear much from ajoining rooms, but you can hear hall noise quite clearly. Peculiar that there were some rooms that were in, what I would consider, much less favourable locations such as at the top of the stairwell leading to the lobby (where you would be able to hear every echoing noise because there are closed fire doors at the top and bottom of the stairs). Rooms that are closer to the stairs, entrances or leading to the pool or lobby will have more noise (if you are concerned).
Overall: Overall, in this class of hotel, it was a good spot to spend the night.

While we were visiting sandbanks provincial park, we booked this hotel and were quite satisfied with the friendliness from the front desk and cleaning staff. We were quite pleased with the two queen size beds, 32" flat screen tv, refrigerator, microwave oven and coffee maker in our room. We also had five pillows on each bed making it quite comfortable. It made for a relaxing stay after being at the beach at sandbanks provincial park all day! There are numerous shopping malls and restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. So getting some shopping in or some food is quite convenient. However, I wouldn't recommend the free continental breakfast. There is no bacon, ham, or sausages. There is bagels, cereal, waffles, danish pastry, yogurt, fresh fruit and coffee. There is a Denny's directly across the street open 24/7.
