“Worth trying! Esp. Btwn 3-5pm”
Reviewed 25 April 2013

Wanted to try this place for a while...didn't realize that its no longer the Winchester Arms name.

When we first walked in it was not clear where to go for the main eating area. There's a dark burgendy door you must open. Would be great if they took this door off or had a sign on it to indicate "main eating area through here".

It was dark in the eating room, but the music they were playing made us sit down and relax (good rock music - classy).

We arrived at 4pm and learned that between 3to5pm you get 25 percent off regular price (non-special items). We were thrilled!

We lived in the States for a while and no one in this area can do a buffalo wrap as well as in the US. We ordered their buffalo chicken wrap to give it a try. It was delicious!!! Just as well done as the better ones I've had in the US.

We will definately be back! Our new fav. Restaurant between Belleville and Kingston :)

“Not my cup of tea.”
Reviewed 21 April 2013

This seems to be the place that everyone goes to from my work. We have always gone here when someone is leaving or to celebrate something. I just don't find the food that great....sorry.

“Good food”

Food is good. It's different. English pub setting I think. Quiet and nice place to meet friends or family to visit and enjoy without being rushed.

“Horrible Disappointment”
Reviewed 19 February 2013

The Restaurant is now called "The Beaufort Pub" which gave me hope that the pub had been rescued by new management, but unfortunately this doesn't seem to be the case.

the food was terribly bland and very oddly plated. The vegetables were obviously cheap and frozen and the entree were terribly overpriced. Ive had better British food from a British hospital and thats no exaggeration. its a terrible shame.

i would stay well clear. i would NOT recommend it.

“Winchester Arms soon to have a New Name”
Reviewed 30 August 2012

Stopped in yesterday for lunch when shopping in Belleville and although it does loook a bit weary from the outside - we enjoyed the British Tudor/Pub interior - lots of wood and books and prints - ....service for us was A-1 by a friendly and informative female server. The menu was chocked full of interesting British traditionals - as well as numerous specials and a full range of items to please everyone - we opted for Shepherd's Pie and Steak and Kidney Pie...they featured ample selections of beer on tap..and a nice fresh Peller Estates (Niagara) house wine. Food was delicious - service was efficient and although when we arrived there were only a few cars in the parking lot...after 1PM there seemed to be a steady flow of customers. Haven't been to Winchester in a long time but we will certainly return.
