What a great deal, booked this hotel in the last minute as I could not find any other place available near YYZ. Thought this place may be dodgy, but turns out it's a small, quiet, and clean hotel that seems to be reasonably well run. Rooms were very lcean, clean and upgraded linens. Fridge + Microwave in the room, very pleasant.

Rooms very small, bedding quality was not that great but clean enough. Looks like it was recently spruced up.
A gym would help
No issues with noise but asked for a room away from highway. Under flight path to airport but not too loud. Might be better not to stay on top floor.
Breakfast not good quality but included in price
Did not see any bed bugs (as per other reviews)
Parking was free

It was like having a cold shower in the really freezing cold weather. And also the front desk lady looks like she is on drugs and very rude to all the customerS. It is the worst experience of my life.

For the average cookie-cutter Holiday Inn Express, this one rates a bit lower than other locations. It is clearly an older building that has been kept up just fine. Just walking around the building it feels a bit small. In the room it was nice to have a microwave and fridge. The decor was fine, but not as nice as some of the newer locations.

The location beside Airport road was a bit noisy and you can hear the trucks changing gears at the intersection. The front desk staff at check in seemed disinterested and was talking with friends at the desk.

The included breakfast was the same as every other HI Express. However, the morning I was there, half of the breakfast items had run out and in the 25 minutes I sat there, they did not bring any more out.

Me and my husband had the pleasure of staying here in June when visiting to see family and friends. This was our first time in Canada so we didn't know what to expect.
I booked this hotel along with the flight through an online travel agency (Thomas Cook) purely as it was conveniently located to where our friends lived and also because there was a free shuttle bus that takes you from the airport to the hotel which we knew we were going to need as our friends were at work at the time we landed.
When we got to the airport we followed the signs to where shuttle buses to the various hotels picked up from. Needless to say, every hotel apart from Holiday Inn Express And Suites were displayed on the board and drivers from the other hotels were not able to help. Fortunately i carried the phone number for the hotel with me and went back into the airport where staff at the information desk where able to phone them up and let them though we were waiting. This is definitely something i need to point out if you plan to use the shuttle service to get you to the hotel as even the staff at the information desk were sure that there was no shuttle buss to this hotel until i convinced then to ring them!
Once the bus arrived, the driver helped put our luggage in the bus and took us the hotel. He was very friendly and chatted to us all the way.
Once we arrived, we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful receptionist who gave us a map of the local area and her reccommendations for places to visit and eat out at during our stay in Toronto.
Now the rooms:
Very large and spacious, plenty of storage space.
Free use of the local tv channels, although you will have to pay if you want to watch movies.
Microwave and fridge in the room which was very helpful.
Bathroom was lovely and clean.
Bed was comfortable and there was also a desk in the corner and a sitting area.
Our room was cleaned everyday and it was always to a high standard.
We had free high speed internet access which was convenient.
We had a breakfast buffet everyday that was included in the price we paid. It was basic and the same everyday.
The fitness room was so small if you turned around you could bump into somebody!
The swimming pool was small but okay to use if you were by yourself. The jacuzzui was nice!
Across the road from the hotel you will find various shops and restaurants which is always helpful.
The area itself is still being built up and appears to be frequently used by drivers.
Note: You really need a car to get around as the bus systems are quite confusing and if you ask anyone how to get somewhere by public transport 9/10 times they won't know.
Do not get a taxi from the hotel to anywhere though as they are highly overpriced!
Overall we really loved staying at this hotel, it appears to be used frequently and that probably due to the fantastic customer service that is provided.
I will be coming back to Canada again and i will be staying here!

This hotel was perfect for what we needed. A room big enough for a 6 month old, 2 year old, 6 year old and 2 parents. The kitchenette was great, we were able to get a reasonable amount of groceries and keep them in the fridge. The pool was tiny but when your kids need to be at arms reach this was perfect. The hotel was only about 5 minutes from highways which made traveling to the Toronto zoo, downtown Toronto, ect very easy and fast. The staff was fantastic and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was great and it was nice to have a warm breakfast waiting for you! The business center (2 computers and a printer) was great for checking e-mail and printing out boarding passes not to mention get takeout menus online! Next time I need to be in the GTA I will be staying here!
