“Celebrate with style”
Reviewed 28 May 2013

Terrace on the Green has been a celebration location for our family since it opened, as well as previously under different operators. The setting and ambience are the best. The menu has lots of choices, food is always delicious and service very good. Recently, we celebrated a couple of birthdays with family, a party of 8 and a baby. Overall, it was a great evening to remember. As noted by others, it is an expensive evening but the quality of food, service and setting are worth it, to us anyway. A couple of things were disappointing but didn't detract from the enjoyment of the evening. The wine list has become pretentious and has mostly expensive bottles. Least cost red was $50 and only one choice. The chicken supreme dish was a perfectly cooked chicken breast but the "supreme" element was missing. The service was good, as usual, and I don't begrudge 15% being added for service but I do resent it being added to the tax as well. Birthday desserts were provided complimentary, which was unexpected, so that was more than an offsetting bonus.

“Great place for a wedding and reception”
Reviewed 1 May 2013

We attended a wedding reception at Terrace on the Green, wonderful surroundings

Food and staff were excellent

Only negative was there were two receptions at the same time, there were no signs as to where ours ( or the other one was)

“Birthday Dinner”
Reviewed 23 January 2013

Easily the best restaurant in the area. Excellent food and great service. I don't mind paying a little extra if the restaurant is worth it and this one certainly is. Can't say enough about it except, go try it, you won't be disappointed.

“Hidden Treat”
Reviewed 23 September 2012

We'd been meaning to go here for ages and finally made it. Very special and worthwhile. For some reason I thought it was part of a golf club estate, but I was mistaken. Instead, I found a lovely estate with groomed grounds perfect for various indoor/outdoor events. It's nestled on a hilltop, up a hidden road off of Mississauga Road, just south of Queen Street (southbound in the valley). Loads of parking. You feel pretty exclusive as soon as you drive up. We dined when there was a reception going on in a different part of the estate and didn't hear a peep. It was quiet and intimate. We had a professional, top-notch server. There was the odd delay, but very understandable considering the number of people being served at the reception next door. Fantastic menu! Pricey, yes... but this was a treat. And really, when comparing 'fancy restaurants', $35+ platters like this are typical. If you think about it, places like the Keg charge prices like this now-a-days, so skip the Keg and go here. This was worth it and the portions were excellent. We had the Ostrich and the special which was Grouper... oh sooo good!, and finally, shared a creme brulee which was perfect. Did I mention the wine? We normally don't order it while dining out, but we did and it was divine!! The red house wine and the rose. Incredible! We will return. Hopefully we can see it in the winter with the fireplaces going. It would be beautiful.

“Pricey but good”
Reviewed 21 July 2012

I visit here about once a month for business lunches. Great locations and never too busy. I have never been disappointed in my food selection. Very good appetizers and entrees and plenty of offerings. Service is very good and a the restaurant is quiet enough to discuss business without interruption. It is pricey but very once in awhile a great place to visit. Watch for speed traps on Mississauga Rd as the local police frequent this area. Enjoy....
