Parking is an issue - the hotel has a bar and paid parking for anyone who wants to walk along the waterway. At night, folks hang out in the parking lot, shoes were found near my car. No visible security anywhere.
This was the old Travelodge and it was old 10 years ago.
I heard they were going to tear this place down and build something new - hope so.
Right now its the only hotel in Burlington on the water with a view. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, festivals, entertainment. Great location.
I only stayed one night and if I had stayed longer I would have complained about the ripped black out curtain, loose faucet and lack of parking.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We apologize for the ripped black out curtains that were in your room and appreciate your commenting on our cleanliness. Our parking lot/Waterfront is undoubtedly a very busy place and we continue to make every effort to ensure that our complimentary parking policy enhances a guests stay versus being an inconvenience. Thank you again and we hope to welcome you back to the Waterfront Hotel.

Absolutely gorgeous location. Sadly, the room was in dire need of renovating and maintenance. Mouldy grout (pics attached), buckling carpet, cracked floor tiles, plaster repairs to ceiling just left as is. Black out curtains torn. Check in/check out efficient.
Breakfast was ok. Beds are comfy and clean.

We booked through a "third party vendor", booking.com, and they made it clear despite our reservation saying "Superior King Room- offering a view of Spencer Smith Park" they insisted we did not pay enough for that room, so we got a room with a small window looking at the equipment on their roof.

The room was worn and dark, and management was unconcerned about the booking discrepancy, so we cut our stay short and moved on down the road. As we were staring out at Niagra falls from our new room, we heard Burlington was flooding. So in the end, their attitude saved our day.

Room Tip: If you need to stay in Burlington, call the hotel directly to reserve a room. They stated their pol...

Our family enjoyed a week long stay at the Waterfront Hotel in downtown Burlington, Ontario.
The staff were friendly and accommodating from check in to check out. The facility, while not new, was clean and comfortable and came at a very fair price especially coming from Alberta where it's normal to pay $200 a night to stay at a super 8.
Our children loved the pool area and we used that facility just about every night until it closed at 11 PM.
The view of the park and water outside our hotel room was a nice bonus to staying there.
The only inconvenience we Encountered was not being able to take our kids to the restaurant late one night because at the certain hour only 21 and over were allowed.
But even that caused us to discover a wonderful little place across the street (RJ's?) that sold ice cream corn dogs and fries.
When all is said and done, we enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return next time we are in Burlington.

After NYC and Niagra we enjoyed this place a lot, it felt clean, quiet and restful staying so close to the lake. Our daughters loved the swimming pool. I don't know what should be wrong with the breakfast, we did enjoy it. There was also free WiFi and free parking.

This past weekend we stayed at the waterfront, what a disaster. Upon check in the girl only ever said to us...checking in...here is you room cards. So of we went to our room. I went to open the curtains to get some light only to be greeted buy a table of men who were at the beaver and bulldog patio crammed against the wall where our window was. Of I went to the front desk to now deal with another extremely rude and impolite lady. I simply asked for a new room because this one was not up to any privacy whatso ever, she angrly searched the computer and rudely told me the ONLY room the had left was with 2 queen size beds. I took it as it was on the top floor. The rooms are very dated and not very pleasant to be in, we didn't even shower during our stay as we were disgusted to even step foot into the bathtub. Oh well all we needed was to sleep one night. Sunday morning we went to check out, same girl served us as during check in. She never asked how our stay was, how we enjoyed breakfast, she simply stated ...will this be on your credit card?....not a good bye not a thank you!! What a waste of money staying here, customer service is atrocious, rooms are horrid!

Room Tip: None, go somewhere else that will treat you like a customer

Breakfast closes too early for vacation travelers. Toasters were unplugged as I was standing there with 2 pieces of bread on my plate. When I asked if I could toast my bread, the response was that I should have gotten up earlier. The staff then asked every-one to leave because breakfast was over. If the hotel/restaurant can't get it together to serve breakfast until more reasonable hours, then they should not offer it. The hotel and surroundings are very nice, but the breakfast experience "left a very bad taste in my mouth."

Thank you for your review. We apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your breakfast with us. Unfortunately with the large amount of turn over within the hotel combined with the need to refresh and reopen our restaurant each day @ 11:30 we are unable to extend breakfast offering past the 3 hours that it is offered. This of course does not excuse any negative staff communication which will be dealt with and again we apologize for it. We hope you enjoyed the remainder of your stay and your time in Burlington.
