“Truly a delight”
Reviewed 27 June 2014

This relatively new and custom-built theatre is a venue not to be missed. The company for each of the two shows enjoyed so far are the equal of anything seen in Toronto, Stratford or Shaw. Hard to find a nicer group of Front of House folks anywhere.
Thank you Dunfield, thank you!

“Fantastic Show !!!!”
Reviewed 27 June 2014

This was our first trip to the Dunfield Theatre, but won't be our last. The beautiful theatre, the free parking, the friendly people....all wonderful.
Then...the Best of all.....Les Miserables was the best show we have EVER seen. We go to the theatre all the time. Stratford, Toronto, Niagara on the Lake, Hamilton, London....and nothing has compared to this !!! It was, by far, the best we have ever seen !!!!!! We laughed, we cried..we were totally enthralled for nearly 3 hours....whisked away to France ..... without leaving our seats....the performances were the best we have ever seen or heard.....we were humbled by the whole experience...you know it was spectacular when you are singing the songs and thinking about the show, days later.
Thank you Dunfield Theatre...Thank you cast, crew and orchestra....we will never forget this performance !!!!

“Les Mis is boring & predictable. Dunfield Theatre is a winner.”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

If a friend of ours didn't have a daughter in the cast I wouldn't have gone to see Les Miserables again. It is a boring story, totally predicable. Manipulative and intellectually shallow. I mean, really! Living free is better than living under an oppressive government? Wow! What an insight. Who was the librettist? A 15-year-old?

But the upside was the location, the Dunfield Theatre in Cambridge, Ontario. The sound was excellent. The costumes, acting and singing were as good (or better) than the previous time I saw this ghastly play at the Princess of Wales in Toronto. Even the sets and staging were better than Toronto.

So how do you rate a stinker like Les Mis? I give the play a 1 and the production a 4. Let's give it an undeserved 3 out of 5.

“lovely new theatre”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

Have enjoyed 2 Drayton shows here. Parking is free. Located in a nice area. Close to many cities and towns and southern Ontario so great for day trip or weekend away. We love it here.

“Great little theatre”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

I saw Les Miserables at the Dunfield Theatre in Cambridge. It was a great preformance. The cast did a wondeful job, the seats were very comfortable and the sound was terrific. I sat in the second row on the outside and felt like I was in the show. I have been in a few of the theatres in the Drayton group and this one compares very favourably with the others. There is plenty of parking and exiting the show is no problem. There is also a 50/50 draw and the lucky winner ususally gets around $250 - enough to pay for the tickets and dinner out for two. All in all it was a great experience.
