“Good place for fried chicken but not better than Popeye's”

We had their famous Broasting chicken, which is fried chicken cooked in a pressure cooker. The chicken was crispy and moist inside. Much better taste than KFC, but in my opinion, the taste of Popeye's fried chicken is better. Where Popeye's FC loose point vs. M&J's, is that theirs is very oily and M&J are not.

Wish they offered hot or spicy fried chicken as well.

We also had their fish and chips dinner, three pieces of cod fish in a batter, they were crispy but oily and the portion of the fish were not as big and tasty as the ones at Green Acres family restaurant.
The customer service is good and friendly.

They have the best broasted chicken in town and it comes with home cut fries, bread and coleslaw They do cook it fresh, so you have wait for your order unless you call ahead. staff are good and all cooking is in your view > They do serve breakfast which is good but again a little expensive.
The restaurant is not updated and is cold in the winter. its better to order out

The best chicken in town.(chicken is broasted)
Many go there for fish as well and the hamburgers too.
Should order ahead for the chicken so you don't have to wait for over 1/2 an hour in line.

This eatery is not very fancy. They have a special method of cooking chicken called "broasting" which makes the chicken resemble Kentucky fried: They have regular daily specials like foot long hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken etc. I would classify M & J's as a fas tfood restaurant with inside seating.
