“Don't order the Italian salad dressing!”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

This is a revived restaurant from the old Mother's Pizza Parlour chain in the Hamilton area in the 70's. The pizzas now are as good as they were then. We ordered a side salad with Italian dressing...it was inedible. The dressing is nothing more than vinegar with a splash of oil and no herbs. Other people in the group ordered various dishes and said they were OK but not spectacular. I won't be going back!

“bland”
Reviewed 5 April 2014

We were there for a large birthday celebration. The service was average, but my food was uneventful and the fact that all I heard for mothers was that the food was disappointing. Pasta was served warm. i accepted this on the basis of it was a large group. On the pizzas they were largely overcooked. I usually give the place two tries before I comment and move on. In this case I wash my hands of Mothers. It is a far cry from the original Mothers from the point of the food and decor. Bland is what comes to mind when I think of the place. If they are looking to franchise this as a rebirth of the Mothers of old, they have a long way to go. Too bad

“Round #3...Getting Better”
Reviewed 13 January 2014

This was my third time there, and second time reviewing. Definitely an improvement since opening, but still some issues. This is the first time I went that I had to wait to be seated, and that was handled rather quickly, and efficiently. Service was good overall, however, quality control needs addressing. Paid an extra $2.99 for chicken on my Alfredo. Alfredo was good, chicken was burnt to a crisp, and tasted like charcoal. It would have been so easy to say, "Hmm that looks rather burnt, maybe we should redo that?" This is the second time food has passed through at least 2 people and no one has said anything before bringing it out to our table. Never have gotten an apology when I ask for the food to get redone. Last thing that still bugs me is the noise level of the place. I know not much can be changed now, but when designing, they should have taken that into account. Its pretty bad when you've got a hard time hearing the person sitting across the table from you in a booth. All in all, good food for the most part, good alternative to Boston Pizza.

“Pasta”
Reviewed 12 January 2014

Well first, let me say I do not remember Mother's from the past. So, I can't say if the food is better or worse. However, with my experience I thought the pasta was really good. I had the Alfredo Pasta, which was one of the best I've had. The service was great, and quick for a change. we went on a Sunday night, so it wasn't crowded, and a different atmosphere from all other restaurants. Overall I did enjoy it.,

“Kicking it old school (Mothers pizza)”
Reviewed 7 January 2014

To my surprise I came across a mothers pizza resturant located in Hamilton ont. I remember being a kid having and going to birthday parties. On many occasions also going for dinner with my
family.I thought what a great idea it was to bring Mothers back! I don't remember what choices there were on the menu back in the day.We were treated by friendly staff, not 1 grumpy face! there was alot to choose from on the menu.Originally we came for pizza only but they had a great selection. My wife and I had all you can eat spegetti which was pretty standard(not like mom makes!)but ok.The apps were good and food arrived quickly. The servers were very great at
explaining the items on the menu. We would definately go again. The only negitive thing i would
say is when you first enter there's a overwelming chemical smell, possibly somekind of cleaner which wasn't very appealing.
