We stopped there on a whim and what a great choice! Fish was amazing and the atmosphere was nice to hold a discussion without feeling like you have to yell or like everyone can hear your every word. Service could have been better but would definitely recommend as a good place to eat. I will be going back soon :)

We eat at Beasley's every couple of weeks. The food is consistently good and what one would expect of one's local bistro. Lots of comfort food for those cold fall and winter days and decent wines. Everything is freshly made. The crepes and wings are just the best! It's crowded on a Friday night. For a larger group, I would recommend making a reservation. It's also great for lunch and generally not so busy that one can just walk in without a reservation.

Same menu and decor as in the '80's and particularily given the vibrance of the area it really needs some work in both of those areas. Pricing does not reflect quality of the food.

Last Wednesday evening we had the dinning room of Beasley House Bistro to ourselves. The waitress said that the first couple of days after a long weekend are always very quiet. A tip worth knowing if you want a quiet dinner out.

Starting at the end, we both had cheese cake for dessert, the pieces of cake were rich, flavourful and filling. Coupled with several cups of freshly brewed, strong coffee it was a fine ending to a good meal.

We had ordered steak and sweet potatoe fries for mains, the steaks were prepared as requested and arrived quickly and hot. For starter I had the califlower and chedder soup, outstanding.

In all a pleasant experience, offering good food and good value. I think that a full dining room would make for a 'pub" style dinning experience rather than a pleasant evening for two.
