Had a very nice dinner here with family. Fresh pasta with wonderful sauces. A corner restaurant looking out into a market square. Friendly servers :)

“Awesome everything”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014 via mobile

I truly enjoyed the mushroom Rissoto I had
I added chicken and the portion of both exceeded my expectations. The service was quick and responsive. They have a wonderful white wine selection also. They have live jazz Tues. The band that was on was wonderful and it added to the ambiance. Can't wait to go back.

“Very good food and service”

An excellent choice for an informal lunch or dinner in front of the Kingston City Hall. One of our favorites stops in Kingston.

“We had a great meal!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2014

After writing many reviews on European restaurants and attractions, here we are back in Canada for a bit. I must say what strikes one right away - at this restaurant and elsewhere - is the "smart casual" approach in society. Saturday evening in Kingston and the place was hoppin'. So was Olivea. We sat on the smallish terrace just outside, it having been a nice evening. It tends to make things even more casual, doing so. It's a very attractive restaurant inside, but again it was a warm evening. We were three, and each had a different item. I had the beef tenderloin special ($32) and it was excellent, even though it was more toward medium than the promised medium-rare. My wife, the grouper special ($29) and although very good, the accompanying vegetables were scant. Our son, the steak aglio olio ($25) from the menu, and he enjoyed it immensely. We shared a warm olive starter and had the old-vines Malbec throughout. Overpriced for $30 a half-litre but it is what it is here in Canada (this ain't Europe, I know). Espresso to finish. Great meal, adequate service (a bit slow, although I acknowledge they were full and busy). We'd go again, but for $150 for three, less tip, not all that often I'm afraid.
