This location is perfect for a night-time stopover en route to Montreal or Ottawa. The hotel is modern and clean. The Courtyard is actually located right in a complex with a bunch of outlet stores. For food, there's a Boston Pizza opposite the hotel parking lot. There are also numerous fast food places nearby.

The check-in process was good, I asked for a quiet room and got one quite a distance away from the elevator. The pool and fitness room looked really good even though I didn't use them.

If I ever stay in Kingston again I would book here.

I stayed at this location as a stop-over for one night travelling between London and Ottawa. The location is easy to find and handy to the 401. Plenty of free parking and several restaurants close by in addition to the bistro in the hotel.
Check in was easy and the desk staff very courteous. I was presented with a coupon for breakfast and a complimentary beverage from the tuck shop. Shortly after entering my room, I had a knock on the door and was handed a hand-written welcome from the the general manager along with a voucher for a cocktail of choice from the lounge. Nice touch!
The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was great and everything in the room worked. The only thing I noticed was there was not a lot a closet space...only a wardrobe with limited space for hanging clothes. It wasn't an issue for me only staying one night.
Other than that, the place was perfect for what I needed. I would return to this location.

My family - two adults and two pre-teen children - decided on the spur of the moment to stay at this hotel on Wednesday March 12, 2014, on our way from another stay in Ottawa to back home in Toronto due to a snow storm. We chose it for its convenient location, positive reviews, and the Marriott brand. We were pleasantly surprised by its updated rooms and facilities, including a small pool with a fun water slide on the ground floor. We also enjoyed the capsule bench with its own TV screen in the lobby restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. The food was fine: cafe-style, on the minimalist side. The front desk forgot to give us the breakfast coupons upon check-in, but duly provided them when we inquired after dinner.

Unfortunately we contracted bed bugs (room #412) and have had to suffer all the consequences, ranging from itchiness to the hassles related to disinfecting the house. I have just sent an email to the hotel about this incident. I hope and trust that the Marriott will deal with it professionally.

Room Tip: Choices between highway vs. outlet mall view. I enjoyed the latter.

Thank you for your review.

We're happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Though we certainly are not happy to see unfounded accusations of Bed Bugs at our location, based on the assessment of a pharmacist. Unfortunately this review was posted before we were able to complete our in room inspection with our contracted pest control company, Abell. We were informed Monday morning (Mar 17th), Abell was called in to inspect the room and was completed by 11 AM.

Abell performed a thorough inspection of the entire room, but did not find a single piece of evidence to indicate any bugs were in the room at that time or any time in the past. We'd be happy to share that report with you should you wish to see it and contact Abell with any follow up questions.

We take these accusations seriously and act upon them immediately when they are thrust upon us. Our room attendants are trained to look for signs each time they clean the rooms, taking extra care on checkout rooms to ensure there is no potential for a future guest of being exposed. Our maintenance crew and all of our leadership team are all also trained on detection methods.

Our suggestion, in any case, is to seek out professional advice from a doctor, or better yet a dermatologist. Our desire is to ensure our guests receive proper treatment for any ailment they experience. Be it during a stay or any other time. Shouting BED BUGS! from a rooftop is damaging (libel?), especially when it is not accurate. We have not had a single case of bed bugs since our opening in May of 2010. We intend to keep it that way, though if a time comes when that is no longer true, we are highly trained and have a very capable company in our employ to minimize the impact on our guests.

We chose this hotel for our stopover between Toronto and Montreal. It is conveniently located to get in and out of the highway as well as to visit the city. This is the second time we stayed here and it just so happens that because we arrived late in the evening we ended up in the same room, next to the elevators with no other choice available. Upon reading other travellers' reviews, we consider ourselves lucky nevertheless as we never experienced "noise" issues. We never used any of the common facilities, except for the breakfast room, because we left in the morning. Breakfast was included in our rate, but with limited choices. However, do not expect other than standard breakfast choices. Front desk staff were ok, but when we requested a change of room their smile turned into a "do not disturb" look. We will probably be back because of its convenient location.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room, preferable in the top floors.

We took our family of 5 to Kingston for a mini night away.
We love shopping the outlets so this was a great location.
We only live 1 hour from this hotel but the Expedia deal was to good to pass up!
The rooms are clean and the perfect size. The pool was clean and the life guard on duty was super nice.
Check in was a breeze. Te trainee Danielle?!? Was very pleasant and the lady that was working with her (east Indian) was so very pleasant.
The only negative thing was the price of the food in the restaurant. I understand it is all about convenience but for two small
Hot chocolates two cookies and a small ice cream it was $20. I should have just crossed the road to McDonald and paid less then half.

Next time we come to Kingston we will definitely be staying here.

Nestled next to a small outlet mall and convenient to the 401 our recent stay was our fourth at the Courtyard and has become one of our top picks in Kingston. Desk staff were efficient, professional and helpful. Room was well appointed with microwave, fridge and coffee options. We generally do not use but it is always good to know what you have available. We did utilize the Starbucks for coffee in the morning. Room was very clean. There are several dining options within walking distance, but we tend to go downtown to the several amazing choices available there. A real plus for our tired bones was the very comfortable mattress.

Room Tip: Free Parking and WiFi

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in February 2014. The area was newly developed with any restaurant/store you could want within a 5 minute drive. Very close to the highway, but no noise reached the rooms. All amenities listed were provided. Wish breakfast would have been included without having to pay an extra $40 for a room. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. King bed starting to sink a little in the middle. Pool and hot tub area was good. Not busy when we were there Thursday evening. Did not try water slide as it was only open on the weekend at certain times. All photos posted on the hotel website were accurate to what I found at the hotel. Only a 15 minutes drive to Downtown Kingston.

Room Tip: If you are not there with a group, ask for a room on the 4th floor. They get a lot of teams at the...
