I had read all the great reviews of this place, so while staying in Kingston decided to try this restaurant. There was a large wedding going on but the West Seventy6 Grill had only one or two tables with customers dining. Unfortunately it seems this place is a waste of a good chef because the service was beyond terrible. First course of tempura was greasy. Appetizers of a salad and scallops took over an hour to deliver. I went to the bar offering to settle my bill so we could go somewhere else, and she said "your order is coming right out". Well the salad came out looking old and whilted after 10 minutes, but still no scallops for 20 minutes. It was 2 hours and we had not even ordered entree's! The scallops were amazing and delicious - but at that point we were so frustrated with the place we just wanted to leave. Decor is like Denny's and the lights were on full blast. I will not dine here again, and its unfortunate because it seems like they do have a gifted and special chef on staff. Diners next to us wanted to speak to the chef the the waitress said "I'm sorry but we have a wedding with 150+ people, and he is very busy". OK, so if its too busy to run the restaurant - then close it down for the night. People could go elsewhere and not waste a Saturday with such terrible service.
