“Loved it!!!”

We needed a one night stay in Kingston mid week. For about the same price as a large hotel, we got a GREAT room, very friendly service, great breakfast, and peace and quiet. Conveniently located, this is one of the better places we have stayed in a long time. This unique buidling has charm and interesting historcally based decor and construction, but brought up to today's requirements. Comparable in accomodations to the Milcroft Inn, or the rooms at Langdon Hall. Close to many restaurants, the staff were happy to discuss the pros and cons of each with us, and made two great recommendations for dinner and lunch. We will defiintely stay again on our next visit. Ask for a discounted rate in the offseason, they will accomodate.

When checking hotels to stay in Kingston the Frontenac showed up on a map as being in the downtown area. It had the appeal of both a hotel and a B&B and as my hubby is from Scotland we thought this might be a more interesting place to stay. If they had not been listed as a hotel however, I would have missed them as the Kingston Town website does not list the other historic B&B houses under hotels. I read some reviews on it, viewed their website and, as we had never been to Kingston before I called them and they graciously answered my many questions. I had concerns about being downtown in a place I did not know but no need here. We stayed in their newly renovated Gordon Room in the Annex (not on website yet) - OMG - what a treasure. I almost hate to tell people about it so I can keep the secret of this hotel to myself. Parking and breakfast was included in the room price. Breakfast was the best we have had in a long time - from Granny's homemade jams to fresh baked buns to an absolutely smashing omelet and waffles to die for and where did those raspberries come from? It was the room that we enjoyed the most - absolutely wonderful. A separate entrance to the Annex, a private entrance to garden (which in the summer I bet is absolutely spectacular) and much much more. Very quiet at night, we felt very safe walking around downtown. A king bed, a fireplace, and the decorating was tastefully done. The staff were very friendly and courteous but they took an interest in their guests and seemed genuine when they said they hoped you come back. Thanks Will & Frank!! I strongly recommend this place to anyone willing to spend a couple of extra dollars - beats the heck out of the regular hotels! Thanks Frontenac for a wonderful hotel experience our first time in Kingston. You will see us again in the future, we promise!!

My wife and me stayed at this Inn while traveling around in Canada.
We enjoyed it very much as it was close to everything we wanted to see here.

The breakfasts were really great and we had lots to eat.
The place is bigger than most places we had stayed at but we like it ok anyway.

Our room was big but we had many stairs to walk to get to our floor. It is more like a small European hotel than the B&B's we came to know in Canada but it was good.
If we visist Kingston again we will come back because of the location.

The hosts are friendly and helpful so that is wonderful too.

Thank you again for a nice time.

We stayed at the Frontenac Club Inn in Sept 2008. It is the first time that we've stayed in a B&B and would recommend this B&B to others. Location wise, Kingston is not that big and everything was within walking distance. We arrived earlier than the check in time, and were given very helpful guidance on where to go for information, watering holes etc.

Room: We booked the Chisolm Room and were pleased to see that little had changed since the website photos. The bed was king size and comfortable. There was a flat screen tv, free internet access. The bathroom was spacious and in keeping with the style of the property.
The property was very charming, lovely lounge and dining rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a delicious breakfast which was very filling.

I have stayed at the Frontenac Club Inn several times while in Kingston on business. I found it when looking for an alternative to the usual big hotel chains that the company had been booking for me. This place is typically less expensive than the regular hotels and has way more to offer in terms of charm, room amenities, and a fantastic breakfast to boot! I never had a bad experience. Staff is friendly and helpful. I got to try out 3 different rooms and all were comfortable, quite large!, and the bathrooms are all to die for!

This Bed and Breakfast, is a great get away, it's location is within walking distance to the waterfront, the exterior of this hotel is very old , as you enter the front lobby you can see the history behind this building.
Our room was named the Stone Room, it was on the ground floor, a
large leaded window greeted us at the end of the room, a walk-in shower that was huge in size with rain shower heads not to mention the four jets that also come flowing through. The bathroom is separate . the room itself was large and the added surprise was a door that led into a large courtyard . The King sized bed was very comfortable with a large red head board that resembled a huge door. there was a television , hidden behind a glass door. we were given plenty of thick towels .
Every morning we were greeted with smiles, and a lovely breakfast of fresh fruits and breads, french toast .
My friend also had a lovely room she had the Atelier room , though a little smaller it was tastefully decorated with a Jacuzzi and separate shower. each day we sat in the back courtyard where there is the sound of a fountain, comfortable seats and two large trees that house plenty of birds who come for there feed at the bird feeder.
We found this Inn to be very relaxing , quaint and a perfect get away from it all..
I recommend this Inn to folks that enjoy a bit of the old world mixed with the best comforts of this century.

Stayed here for a weekend in July. Just happened to be a cancellation and we were able to get the Cooke Suite. It was such a nice suite. It had a little balcony and we had a view of the water. (nice surprise) The suite is in a separate building from the Inn. It was nice to be separate. It felt like a little oasis.
The first morning breakfast began with fresh berries and yogurt. Along with fresh juice. Also included was a basket of fresh bread. (that we found out was from Ace bakery) It was soooo good. After that, we were offered stuffed french toast. The choices were either apples or berries. We were also offered a hot or cold cereal....but we were way too full from everything else!
The next morning breakfast started with slices of cantelope, honeydew melon and watermelon. And the bread was sour cherry. After that it was the frontenac eggs. Which consisted of a slice of foccacia bread with smoked salmon and a sauteed tomato slice with a perfectly poached egg of top....and hollandaise. I'm not a big fan of smoked salmon, but this was wonderful. I was very impressed with both breakfasts.

I would highly recommend this inn to everyone. It was our first stay in a B&B and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely be back. The owners and the staff were all wonderful as well. They really made everyone feel welcome.
