“clean, well appointed rooms, more than expected”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

We had booked with another motel in Kingston, but after reading the mixed reviews, decided to try this motel based on the high ratings. We had two rooms with one king bed and 2 doubles. The first thing that I notice in a hotel is the cleanliness. Both rooms were very clean and had mini fridges and microwaves. The first night we spent there, we found the bed too hard for us and we asked to try another room. The owner took us to the second level and showed us a suite. The bed was much more comfortable, but we had not expected a larger room, just a softer bed. We were not charged for the upgrade.
The pool did not feel heated and could use some new patio tables/ umbrellas. We still had a good swim in spite of the cool temps. The breakfast is typical continental with cereal, fruit, yogurt and various bread/ muffins/ coffee and tea. We stayed there for 4 nights and so added some of our own breakfast foods. The location was perfect to everything and the price the best for the value. The rooms were very soundproof as we did not hear any noise from our neighbours or the road traffic. All the staff that we met including cleaning staff were pleasant and helpful. We would definitely stay there again if we were in Kingston.

I was in Kingston on business, and in a moment of weakness decided to book at the cheapest place I could find. The hotel is managed or owned by a nice east Indian couple.

This motel is clean and relatively well maintained, but it is still a motel. I stayed in room 113, which has a king bed, and parking right out front. There are some extras that I particularly like - like a good sized mini fridge with freezer, and a microwave! I didn't even ask for those, but since I like to pickup some groceries instead of eating out when I travel, I was pretty happy about it.

There is a large flat screen tv, dresser, desk and two chairs. The bedspread, bathroom and furniture is a bit tired, but overall everything is quite clean and tidy. There is a musty smell - like old cigarette smoke, maybe it wasn't nonsmoking years ago. Outside, there is a pool and BBQ available. I did not use either. Breakfast is offered in the office, but I can't comment on it as I didn't try it.

If you want a really cheap place to stay for a night or two, with options to cook your own food, that is clean and safe, you'd probably be satisfied with this. If you're a business person or looking for some semblance of luxury, go to one of the chains instead and pay the $40/night more. For me, next time I travel for work, I'll stay somewhere nicer - but simply because there's room in the budget and I like being in a place that has a gym and restaurant or bar.

We decided to go to Kingston, during the most busy long weekend. We only found this classic motel. We took two rooms and we get very good prices. It's a typical motel, with a small swimming pool, with dead flies in the water and a dead frog in the filter. 4 km from Fort Henry.
The employee (or owner?) was very kind and full of good advices. A good breakfast and a clean place. BBQ outside. We were 8 and all happy. Thanks.

It was not a good experience dealing with the owner the wife is rude and insulting when you bring up any concerns they have breakfast and if you are a few minutes late even when the things are still out she will not let you take any thing . As long as you DONT deal with her you are good to go. If it was not for her it would have been a good experience .

My wife and I spent two nights at the Executive Inn when I had day surgery at Kingston General Hospital. The owners were solicitous about my health, and very kind.

The Inn is well located in a quiet area on Highway 2, just 2 kilometers East of Highway 15. It is a short drive to anywhere in downtown Kingston.

This establishment is scrupulously clean and well-maintained. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The beds are great. The rates are very reasonable. I would recommend it unreservedly.

We had a chance to spent a night in this motel during labor day long weekend. We stayed in suit and it spacious and super comfortable. The price was really reasonable, its must try motel. The area is super nice and quiet and not too far from the downtown. Staff is very cooperative and helpful.

This place was fantastic. We booked a last minute room on a long weekend and they were very accommodating. Had a room with two double beds. Beds (and pillows especially!) were super comfy. The rooms all exit to the outside, and the area is nice and quiet. They have nice televisions with 60 odd channels, they give towels and soaps in the bedroom, and have a mini fridge, coffee maker and cups for your use. In the mornings in the main building they have a small but very satisfying breakfast with cereals, croissants, muffins, fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea, etc. If the weather is appropriate they even have an outdoor pool for guests to use. Everything in the room was clean and tidy, and it's not that far from downtown Kingston (just a quick drive into town). We got such a good value for the money you pay(We paid about 80-90$ because we were a CAA member), we were very impressed. When we come back to Kingston we will always be staying here.

Room Tip: Room with double beds was nice and comfy, and if you are a CAA member you get a discount!
