“Best Downtown Location in London !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 September 2013

Stayed in a King Club Floor room which was perfectly clean and well stocked with amenties, towels, etc. Delta Priviledge for Plat + benefits are always meet with an appropriate upgrade.

Consistently excellent 1st Class service from the valet to front desk to everyone I make contact with. Everyone always has a genuine "premium" service attitude from check-in to check-out which really makes for a pleasant stay.

Club Lounge & Staff are a significant draw for this facility. Lounge is well stocked and not over crowded ! Enjoyed the Wednesday night Managers reception with lots of snacks and a greater selection of adult beverages....nice to meet the GM and Managers

Restaurants - both Sports bar and formal dinning options with excellent food quality. Superb Chef staff that embrace the "our kitchen is your kitchen" initiative. This is also a Gluten-Free Friendly facility ! Just contact them ahead of time for Club Lounge snacks and the restaurants are well versed in Gluten-Free protocols for worry free dining.

Location - Excellent for any downtown activity. 1st three floors are the historic Armory with a 20 story modern tower in the middle. Public paid parking behind the hotel but $20 Valet preferred for convenience and security.

Negative - Pillow liners for hygiene would be nice ( nearby Hilton uses them ). Top 20th floor rooms can get noise from the roof top equipment if you are a light sleeper.

Suggestion - Take a quick tour of the 2nd floor hall for its Armory artifacts on display. Excellent collection of local Military history.

Room Tip: Rooms in the older Armory section can be very noisy especially at night from traffic and there is an...

Dear T M,
Thank you for your detailed review! We are thrilled to hear you continue to enjoy staying with us and that our team has made every effort to make your stay most enjoyable. All our guests our important to us but our Delta Privilege members hold a special place in our hearts. For the amount of time you spend with us we want to thank you for your loyalty and we enjoy making each night a comfortable, memorable one.
Our food and beverage team prides itself on our view that “Our kitchen truly is your Kitchen”. Have a food allergy or sensitivity, got a special craving, feel like indulging and don't see it on the menu, just let any of our servers know and we'll make it happen.
Thank you for the suggestion regarding the pillow covers. We'll certainly look into this and see if it works for our location. We do regularly wash our pillows as they are made from a fibre fill that is not only like sleeping on a cloud but also machine washable!
Looking forward to having you stay with us again soon!
Kindest Regards

We stayed for a conference. The connection to the armory made for a great. 1st impression. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Outside elevator was great. Room was standard and a little dated.

Housekeeping left some dirty clothes and dust bunnies in our room. Fortunately front desk staff took the issue to heart and solved the problem. As the hotel was sold out a room upgrade was not available. Instead our room was cleaned while we had a swim. Then we received a credit for the restaurant so thoroughly enjoyed the resulting dinner. Serve staff were fabulous!

Location was great such that we didn't need yo drive anywhere :-)

Will stay there again.

If you're looking for a place to stay in London that has a fantastic location then this hotel is for you. The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean. The hotel is always well maintained and the rooms are reasonably priced. The brunch that's served is incredible. You can pretty much expect everything imaginable. The food is beyond delicious.

My husband and I spent Labor Day weekend at the hotel; we were in London for a family wedding.
The hotel is clean and the staff couldn't be nicer. We stayed in a queen room which was fine, but the bed wasn't very comfortable. We both tossed and turned all night. We mentioned this at the front desk the following morning and without hesitation we were upgraded to an executive king room. The bed was much more comfortable and we had access to the executive lounge where they serve a fresh continental breakfast, much nicer than most I've seen.
When we returned home I filled out an online survey about our stay. I received a personal response from the hotel manager thanking me.
All these little "extra touches" will absolutely bring me back to this hotel the next time I am in London.

We spent one Saturday night at this hotel in August, in an executive king room on the top floor. This gave us access to the private lounge with manager's happy hour and a fine breakfast included. Through booking.com this room was on special for our stay and cost the same as a 2 queens room on a lower floor. The room suited us fine - nothing special but spacious. Great views! There are only 2 elevators serving all the floors, resulting in wait times. The pool area is nicely designed but the area was quite small for the number of guests wanting to use the area. The front desk was very professional and recognized my birthday with cake sent to our room. The location of this hotel is excellent - near to Covent Market, outdoor patios, Thames Recreational Trail and the downtown retail strips. Self parking is a block away which was no problem but it is not a covered area - something to think about in winter.

Room Tip: The top two floors enjoy a private lounge with happy hour and breakfast included. On a weekend stay...

Dear Christina C,
Thank you for taking a moment to tell us about your stay. We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your time with us. Our Signature Club rooms are exactly as you described, Executive rooms on the top 3 floors of the hotel with private access to the Signature Club lounge. The complimentary breakfast each morning and happy hour in the evening make these rooms well worth it and offer a little bit of affordable luxury to our guests!
I'm sorry that you experienced some wait times for the elevators and pool. We are looking at staffing the elevators with attendants more frequently to keep them running smoothly on busier weekends. Our pool area is a bit smaller just do to the restrictions of our historical building but still ample space for our guests to enjoy.
We look forward to welcoming you back here to the Delta London Armouries Hotel in the future!
Kindest Regards
Pamela N.

Parking not a problem. On a busy street but no noise problems. Close to many things. We visited the restaurant in the hotel because we were all too tired to go out, restaurant very nice waitstaff friendly and all 8 said the food was great. Even had a visit from the chef. A very nice two hour dinner at a quaint table and setting.

I was so excited to stay at this spot because it had been an actual armories. The building itself is neat on the 1st & 2nd levels, but the room sections are just stuck on top of the armouries and are average, keep that in mind. The elevator takes you for a ride on the outside of the building, I did like that. The staff were ok, but no one went out of their way to help. I asked about different places to eat, where is the best coffee?, the best pizza?, we are going up town, where would you go?, etc., but none of the staff really helped. The area of town we were in would be great if we were looking for a tattoo parlor or a bridal shop, but that's about all. I was actually uncomfortable in this end of town. I suppose it was ok, but for our needs, it was not suitable.

Dear Mum1928,

Thank you for taking time to share your experiences with us regarding your recent stay. I'm sorry that our hotel did not exceed your expectations on this visit. Our goal is to ensure all staff are constantly striving to exceed the level of service expected and to solicit as much feedback as possible. I hope you will stay with us again so you can experience the level of engaged service that so many others have experienced in the past.

Our hotel has a very rich and vibrant history in the city of London, and the structure contained within the first and second floors dates back to 1905. The bedrooms in the Armouries section are converted Officer's Offices and offer something special that cannot be found elsewhere. We hope to update the rooms in the high rise tower in the very near future so that you can enjoy the same modern atmosphere and amenities that are making their way across the country at all Delta Hotels and Resorts.

Thank you for staying with us and we hope you will consider visiting the Armouries again in the near future.

Warm Regards,

Tyler R
