“Not as expected”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 February 2014

Affordable rooms that were out dated and noisy. The ventilation system in each room was poor until I cleaned the filter which was clogged solid of debris. There was need for some noticeable repairs throughout the hotel that showed signs of wear. The fitness center was not as expected and the change room facility was out of order. Each guest received a complimentary drink at the bar and a delicious breakfast with lots to choose from! The bar tender was very friendly and very helpful.

We stayed at Ramada London in the first of December 2013. Our time there was very warm and comforting. All the staff were very helpful in every aspect of there work. We got to enjoy the breakfasts with our server Bonnie. The staff that cleaned our room was very courteous and always kept the supplies in the room freshened up and replenished when needed. The front desk staff were always pleasant with excellent deportment. They even greeted us by name and were always very friendly. I did have one thing that got my attention FAST was the strong smell of "POT" at the pop machine located in the hall front south doors. When reporting it to the front desk they seem to have a GOOD IDEA of the source.
We will be going back to that Ramada London next time we go to London in April 2014.
Sincerely
Clyde Packman

we asked for the renovated rooms when booking after reading the online reviews. What a surprise when we arrived. wallpaper peeling, tub "mat" black with dirt, carpets disgusting. we could hear people in the other room. inquired at the front desk about the room being a renovated room and was told that we were in one. new bed, new tv, new bedding. seriously?

We recently stayed here with a girls Novice hockey team, 18 rooms and a meeting space. It's not the newest place in town, but very convienient in it's location and the staff bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. 18 families and I didn't hear a complaint from anyone of our group. After some confusion with our meeting space, they went to work and were more than accomodating, making sure we were set up for the weekend so the girls could focus on hockey. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Perani's Hockey World is a short 10 minute walk away. Great for teams.

From the plaster falling from my bathroom ceiling to the purple stains on the wall in room 171. Duct taped glass and carpets , picture frames with bubbling pictures ( from getting wet ) never mind the pot smoke you could smell , try explaining that to your 9 and 12 year old. This place should be levelled and rebuilt.

There are some positives to this hotel. The staff is great, the bed was comfortable and the shower was decent if you avoid the rusty drain. I also enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Here is the downside...the decor in the rooms and hallways is very tired as is the bedding. They use microfiber blankets which I don't like as I usually feel too hot; just using the sheet I was too cold. This hotel welcomes teams which would be fine if the adults responsible for them would monitor the kids who like to play in the hallway. Once the kids found their way to their rooms I found it quiet. If I could get a similar price at Motel 6 I think I'd try it there the next time as it's a newer property.

Let's cover the positives first: Ample parking, located close to the 401 and situated along the busy Wellington strip near malls and many family restaurants and bars. It's fairly cheap and the staff are courteous. Tim Horton's across Exeter if you need to avoid breakfast (recommended).
Reality check: The walls are paper thin and the rooms and decor are badly in need of a makeover. The pool is downright scary and the fitness centre is a joke. Seems to be a magnet for townies, red-necks, hunter-types. Dogs barking at all hours. Hockey teams running amok.

If you are on a budget and don't care about being on the outskirts of the city, then this could be your place.

Room Tip: Pay extra for a cott. The regular beds are noisy and if you're over 6 feet, your legs are dangli...
