“Older was better”
Reviewed 12 December 2013

When I was 5, there was nothing better than going to Storybook Gardens, seeing the Lynx, the seals, the otters, and going on those HUGE red slides. Now, it feels way to modernized, the animals are gone (for the most part), and it's too "cautious", if that makes any sense. There isn't much freedom for kids to run on their own, it is a place where there is complete control at all times

“Enjoyable for younger kids”
Reviewed 27 November 2013

There's a splash pad, rides, farm, lots of walking paths, shows and different climbing equipment. There's food stores in the park, however we've normally just brought a bag with some drinks and snacks from home. Something different to do that younger kids enjoy!

“Good for young kids, don't expect too much though”
Reviewed 1 November 2013

We went for the Halloween 'StorySpook' Gardens night. There was no charge for the adults - which was nice - so with our one toddler the total family cost was $12. This was the absolute MAX that this was worth. As another review suggested, treats were scant (not a problem for us with a toddler, but an older kid would be upset with the pittance). The "craft" was a dowling dipped in glitter glue and called a 'wand'. Lame.
But there was music, lights, characters, play equipment, animals in the barn, a carousel, a tiny-train, a giant slide (not for toddlers). We enjoyed ourselves.
We will be going back as well - though only on 'special' days, as the regular admission is OUTRAGIOUS! You would be hard pressed to be entertained here for more than about 90 minutes.
It's Ok, not great, but not bad.

“NOT for Halloween!!”
Reviewed 27 October 2013

2 Adults 2 Children = $67.80?? Totally not worth it, Trick or treat? What a joke! each of my boys got 8 Halloween treats each. Crafts? I do better at home. Hunted House, pathetic. Really disappointed as they list this as a family event? It's for the children only. NOT worth it in my opinion!!
