“Excellent Hotel”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

We met friends from Finland here for a long weekend. Hotel is very pricey but very nice. We originally booked a Riverview room to avoid the higher prices, but upon registering we were given option to upgrade to a suite with Falls view for $30. We did and not only got a beautiful suite with huge jacuzzi, but incredible view of the Falls. We stayed in 1512. Staff was excellent, enough elevators so you never wait long and a Starbucks in the lobby. Location is right across from Falls so you can walk to most of their attractions. On the downside, bring plenty of money because nothing is cheap. Parking is $35 a day everywhere, food is pricey, attractions expensive. But if you understand that and go for the experience then you will have a great stay!

Room Tip: Falls view are pricey but amazing. Check upon registering to see about upgrades or package deals. Th...

My family and I stayed at Marriott hotel for two nights. The view was amazing! The hotel amenities were good and the people at the hotel were very friendly. One of the easiest check in and check out. The room was great, clean, organized and bigger than we expected. This hotel is a great option to come back in summer. The lights at the falls look great. The only thing is that the food was really expensive compared to the states. But in general or short vacations were excellent.

The hotel is excellent. Great service and clean. Our booking included the Breakfast and a $40 discount for dinner.

We only have one complain. We traveled with a friend. We all got the $40 discount for dinner but she was not able tousle her coupon because she traveled alone and the coupon was for 2. She asked for $20 discount or a percentage off but was not offered an option. We ended up eating somewhere else. She is an We traveled with a friend. I stayed with the family from 5/30 - 6/2. The room was on floor 23 and the view was espectacular! We had a suite with two beds and a separate room with a sofa bed. Bathroom was modern and spacious.
We did a 'semi-valet' option which costs $25 vs. 35. The difference was that they shuttle you to the parking lot from 7am to 2pm. After that it became full valet parking.

The location was perfect and you could walk to most restaurants.

They have Starbucks, TGIF Friday and KEG Steakhouse restaurants at the hotel.

Complimentary evening at the hotel one free drink per person from 4 or 5pm to 7:30pm every night.

Free breakfast! Very good options and please check out the omelet station.

Overall, great experience.

If you have a car please don't forget to take a drive to ' Niagara on the Lake' town. It is a beautiful town with plenty of restaurants and shops! 20 minutes away.

We enjoyed the high floor room (Room 2217), but we think that the windows are not as big (floor to ceiling) as the Marriott on the Falls. Also, the other Marriott was less expensive. The breakfast, for this class of hotel, was less than average. The food served was about what one would expect at a mediocre hotel. We were disappointed - and that comment is made even though our breakfasts were included. We loved the fact that the location was superb. The bad things about this hotel could be fixed so easily. On the positive side, we were very pleased with all of the Marriott staff. Everyone, from the waiter who brought our room service meal the first night to Barb at the tour desk who was so helpful with our Niagara Falls area planning (with the exception of the valet parking) did their best to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel has done an admirable job of training all staff, although the one time I requested my car - when we checked out - it took 30 minutes from call to delivery! Not good! (Especially at $35 per day!! I could have parked next door for $5 per day.) What really bothered me, though, was the "penny pinching". I didn't pinch pennies when I reserved one of the more expensive packages, on a high floor, on the falls side. Then I find I have to pay $9.95 per day for my internet. (I had just stayed at a Days Inn a few nights previous - saving up for this Niagara Falls stay - and the internet was free!) I would have been happy had they charged me another $10 for the room with the internet included. And, again, the parking! $35.00 per day was a little steep. The hotel should fix that or, if not, at least get my car there on time. (Or maybe give me the option of self-park, like the other Niagara Falls Marriott does.) All in all, I liked this Marriott, but on my next trip to Niagara Falls I will go back to the Marriott on the Falls, where I have stayed before, instead of staying at the Fallsview.

Room Tip: Spend the money - get a "high floor" on the Falls side.
