“Beautiful Falls view -- one of the most relaxing trips we've had”
Reviewed 19 January 2010

Upon our arrival at the hotel, we asked for an upgrade as we were on our anniversary trip... despite previous reviewers stating they got upgraded for free, we had to pay about $40/night for a Falls View room... sure, why not -- it's our anniversary... it was worth it. The room was like a small suite, with a large jacuzzi tub. That's a nice touch.

We were there during the light show, and had an amazing view of the fireworks over the falls from the restaurant. What a bonus, since the food was really good. We ordered a pasta dish, which was really good, and the special fish (with grapefruit sauce or sthg as tangy -- can't remember). that was a tad too sweet for our taste. but the waitress, upon realizing that it was our anniversary, proceeded to surprise us with a delicious dessert with "Happy Anniversary" on it. What a nice surprise!

We also did a couples' massage at the spa. That was really relaxing. Although the locker room is small, it has a steam room, which i thoroughly enjoyed.

What was disappointing about the trip, though, was that although it was HOT the weekend we were there, the Maid of the Mist had stopped running for the Winter. Wish we had looked into that prior to the trip. So we did the "Journey Behind the Falls", which was just ok.

Our highlight of the trip was the Wine Tour... didn't realize there are so many wineries in the Niagara Falls area.

We stayed here after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. Hotel was very busy at check in/out but I can forgive it anything for the view from our room. We were on a high floor and the view of the falls was stunning. We opened the door to our room and there it was a large window with the falls framed below us, just perfect. Rooms were clean and well kept and we had 3 great days - which to be honest is just about long enough. Starbucks in reception is spot on idea, grab a coffee on the way in or out and its quite cheap (at least i you normally pay English prices for Starbucks :-( it is). But the one memory of the hotel will always always be the view, waking up or sitting in the dark at night before bed. Awesome.

We were bussing it from NYC to Niagara Falls, so we decided to spent a little more on accommodation for the night we arrive. Our room has a king bed, a jacuzzi and a beautiful view of the falls. We were impressed. Although the front desk isn't as polite or friendly the few times we had to speak with them, we were happy with the bellhop, Scott. He was friendly and was happy to answer questions we had about Niagara. Generally, it we think it was a fabulous hotel.

My father-in-law sent us to the Marriott as a honeymoon gift. He purchased us the 2 day romance package.
We stayed in the bi-loft and it was beautiful. The staff were polite and helpful.
The resturant inside the hotel had delious food and the breakfast buffett was amazing.
It was nice and close to Clifton Hill, took us about 20 minutes when walking, 5-10 minutes when taking the shuttle.
The view from our room was absolutely remarkable.
I highly suggest the Marriott for someone interested in a romantic get-away.

The hotel has great views of the falls, the higher the better. When we checked in we were given a complimentary box of chocolates to celebrate our anniversary with, nice touch. The king whirlpool suite was a nice size, the whirlpool itself more than big enough for two and the two armchairs in front of the large windows were nice to watch the falls lit up at night. Valet parking is mandatory, not everyone's thing but my husband loves it. Just ask them how long you need to call down in advance for your car so you aren't one of the grumbling guests standing in the cold waiting. We called down 20 minutes ahead each time, and the car was always front and center. There is a shuttle that runs to several different main tourist areas, though it is 9 canadian dollars for each ticket. The distance from the hotel to the Skylon Tower is easily walkable as is their casino, though many would not want to walk to any of the other big tourist spots, especially in the middle of the lovely canadian winter! Bed was comfortable, room very clean, a nice way to spend our second wedding anniversary.
