Clean rooms, great location, fairly no frills but the beds are comfy and the rooms with balconies and a view of the river are actually lovely. I got the feeling that some of the clientele may be younger, rougher and louder than, say, at the Hilton, but we didn't encounter any late night noise issues and enjoyed our one night stay. Staff were nice, so was the hot tub. I would avoid the breakfast there and walk a few blocks to The Secret Garden for bacon and eggs on their balcony overlooking the falls instead. Good value for low cost.

Room Tip: Definitely book a river view room with a balcony and higher up is a bit better due to occasional str...

Location can't be beat (you can see the American Falls from the front). Hotel is outdated - but they seem to be updating here and there (new bar being installed in lobby, something being built by the pool and gym). Room isn't dirty - just old. We saw other reviews an brought linens in case - didn't need to use them. Yes - they charge $10 a day for parking
.Basic amenities (blow dryer, iron &board, tv w/cable and game controller). Don't expect dining out guides or room service...it's just a place to sleep. We paid $85 a night for a Sat check in- Mon checkout. For that amount - it was fine. They only had 2 luggage racks - so if you're trying to check in or out - it can be annoying if you have to carry your stuff. Staff we encountered was friendly an pleasant.

Room Tip: Look for coupons - we thought we booked a room w/a queen bed...we ended up in a room w/2 double beds...

we were there last week and used our deal coupon, it was very decieving. said deluxe room and showed a jacuzzi suite and said full buffett breakfast. I get there and they say no its not jacuzzi room ask if they have any upgrades thought they would do a free upgrade after explaining. she charged me another 30 a night plus with the taxes on the whole amount which I dont think you should be charged because we dont pay the full amount and you get the taxes on the full amount. and parking where there was 3 cars it came to another $109.. the room was very old, chairs broken( both). wallpaper falling off the walls, old carpet and bathroom sink, toliet, tub old. looked like it did when we came 18 years ago but back then it was nice. tub and jacuzzi no slip guard and very dangerous to get in and out of. HAZARD!!! we ended up putting a towel down to get in and out of the jacuzzi. the breakfast wasnt included. separate charge. just very dissapointed. no ice machine in that building. this was for our 35 wedding anniversary and just unhappy with the hotel. also pool closed 1st night and second night pool, jacuzzi and sauna closed for maintence

Room Tip: the jacuzzi suites are all very old and not updated, dont know about the hotel itself because it see...

Hi, we stayed here for one night and the room was nice on first impression, then we looked around the room.
The wall paper was coming off the walls and the curtains would not shut. Bathroom had a lot of dry rot on the wood surfaces and the tub would not drain from our showers, the water went up to my calfs.
One really nice thing was the bed it was wonderful with the down quilt this was heaven.
What ever you do do not drink their coffee it is the worst I have ever had.
I would go back but will want to see the room first and I will take my own coffee(one cup maker) with us.

We recently used a Social Media Coupon for an overnight stay at Michael's Inn/wine tasting/attraction package. We arrived at the Inn and checked in, the staff was reserved but courteous. First visual is that the Inn has been there for a long time and does show signs of wear and tear. Checkin was easy and we found our room, while somewhat dated, comfortable. Since we were on the backside of the building, our view was of streets and buildings and not the river and gorge, but that was OK. Our bed was comfortable. Once we got there, we realized that the additional food coupons we received were because there is no onsite dining, except for a breakfast buffet on Saturdays and Sundays. We did partake of the breakfast on Saturday morning and found it to be reasonable for the cost. The coffee was excellent and the sausages very tasty. Plus side, it's right across the street from Bird KIngdom and a short walk to the falls and other business attractions. Downside is the $10.00/day parking fee. We would consider staying there again if we had social media coupons to use.

Room Tip: As long as you're not looking for upscale, modern, with many amenities, basically, a relatively...

Well upon check in it didn't seem that bad. Then when we got to our room it was an out dated step in time. The heat didn't work so well, and the floor was consistently wet under dresser. Parking suckd

Room Tip: Ask for room in hotel , try to avoid detached building that you have to enter from outside hotel.

My friend recently got married so we all booked Michael's Inn to be close to the wedding venue. Upon first entering, the rooms were smelly and drafty. We had to crank the heat but it felt like due to the low quality of the giant glass doors and windows that the heat was no match for the subzero temperatures. Despite the cold, we had to open the balcony door slightly to try to reduce the horrible smell of cigarette smoke in the room. Further, the wallpaper was peeling in several places, there were stains on the comforters, and the carpet looked dirty. The worst part is that because of the holidays they had jacked up the prices far beyond what should ever be charged for such a dive. Be smart and stay at one of the city's gorgeous B&Bs instead of a place like this.
