Since this was our first trip to this hotel, it was a bit confuse with some of the coupons. e.g. I thought the restaurant coupon was for the hotel's restaurant but it was for somewhere else. You may consider to seperate the coupons in two groups: one for using inside of the hotel's and one for outside. Just a thought.

Overall, it was great experience and the trip was exceed our expectation. The trip was for the little boy's birthday and we all enjoyed it. We have reserved this place as our regular gateaway place. I have introduced this place to two of our friends already. Thank you all.

Yes...it was probably the best hotel that we have stayed at during the last 7 years of coming to the SPN provincial championships. I would stay there again next year. Location is awesome...it was clean and had recycling bins.

Just returned from a stay at the Skyline - room was great, bed comfortable. Had dinner at Perkins on the Friday night, it was inedible and the waitress didn't know the difference between soda water and tonic water. We ended up going out to Hard Rock Cafe to get a decent meal later that night. Breakfast was disappointing (my husband had an omlet that was pretty awful, I had the belgian waffle and it was done to perfection) so I'm not sure what was going on with the kitchen. Sharon, our waitress was wonderful on Saturday. I would recommend the hotel because we did like the room but next time, if we come back to Niagara, we would't take the meal plan, there are better restaurants out there and even with the coupon to save money, we ended up being charged a lot because the food was expensive ($6.00 for 2 coffee carafe!!!!) And yes, $10.47 per night for parking was a lot and taxes on the room were nearly $40 per night on top of room rate per night.

This was the highlight of our family's summer. We have made this a tradition with our young kids (3 of them) and they look forward to it every year.

We booked into this hotel to get the waterpark/breakfast package. It was a very good deal. We arrived earlier than our appointed check-in time but we able to check in since our room was ready. Upon check-in, we were given our waterpark passes and vouchers for $40.00 breakfast at the Perkins onsite and had a very nice breakfast there the next morning. Waterpark is connected to this hotel via overhead glass-enclosed walkway. Kind of a long walk from the hotel, but more than doable. There is a Planet Hollywood located right across the street from this hotel which was great for dinner and was nice that it was so close since we were tired from the waterpark by the time it was time for dinner! The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. Our room was on lower level facing the courtyard and we had no issues with noise at all. Paying for parking is kind of a bust, ($9.00 CDN) but at least we had a place to park and easy access for loading and unloading as well. Staff here was efficient, but not overly friendly.

My family and I went to the skyline for two nights, one night with a summer sizzler package this past week. While the hotels rooms are renovated and just OK, all families booking promotion packages should be very careful of excess charges on your room, which happened to us on each of the two nights. Parking is $9 per night and there is little option unless you get a players card at the casino. Somehow $9 works out to $10.47 a night with taxes. They do not have a streamlined process so if you book more than one night you have to go down, AND show picture ID, every morning - this after we had asked that they make a note on our account the first night , which took about 20 minutes to do, that we would be there both nights (rooms had been booked under the same name and credit card). After the 2nd night we were overcharged by $20 for our room. My husband went with a copy of our confirmation receipt which they claimed was wrong. They did not know why it was wrong, but they would not even consider that the error was on their end. I went down with our confirmation and my friends confirmation for the same package, same night, that we booked at the same time on-line. We had the same amount of people in the room. When I tried to show them the error, they would not give in AND they made every excuse in the book for why I was overcharged $20 - all being my fault, from booking incorrectly, to adding on the summer sizzler package (which was the package we booked at the given rate in the first place), to an extra child which we were already charged an additional $20 for, to adding on extra attractions from the summer sizzler package (which you CAN NOT do on-line, and the ones they highlighted as the problem ones were the ones my children were too small to get on anyway). So even with the proof of the online confirmation for myself and my friend, who was charged correctly, they said the charges were the charges and could not tell me where the extra $20 came from. Now it was a matter of principle. After a half hour argument the manager finally found that it was THEIR error in the over-charging of our account. They acted like the $20 credit back on my account was a favor, all the while telling me that someone on their end had input the amount into their program incorrectly. There was no sincere apology or even credit for the hassle or time wasted. While we were dealing with our issues no less than three other families were at the front desk to complain about overcharges or misleading packages - one of the consistent issues was the offering a $40 food voucher with the package that most families think is a great value but ends up costing a family of 4 an average of about $120 after the voucher is credited. As we had booked our rooms along with other friends (total of 4 rooms altogether - two of which were booked at regular price because we promoted this package to our friends later) we realized that a fine dining restaurant, which is not what your would expect with a package directed towards families, would not make sense with children. This was especially so after we overheard a mother at the front desk lamenting at how expensive her meal was even though her party ordered the 'cheapest' things on the menu. Their bill was over $120 as well. Overall I found the experience quite trying and illogical, and really, there are so many good hotels in Niagara with great packages its not worth the hassel. There is no customer service and a complete lack of understanding with how these issues can disrupt a family vacation.
