My fault for not reading the reviews before booking this hotel but we needed a hotel room for one night while visiting our daughter. Arrived at the hotel and check in went smoothly, they hand wrote the wifi password on a piece of paper and gave us our room keys. Frond our room with little trouble and had difficulty opening the door but could be we are not that adept with the key. The room had king sized bed with a sofa and was a reasonable size. There is where the positive ends.
The carpet was very dirty looking and appears the vacuum does not reach the edges. The coffee maker provided was dirty and needed to be cleaned, there were no towels in the room, there was a small heater on the night stand beside the bed, all electrical outlets had extension cords running out of them, the TV didn't work, the room only had one working light missing it's cover. The lighting made it very difficult to see anything but I guess that was almost a positive thing. There was no ice bucket in the room so hubby and I went to the front desk to ask for one and get some more coffee for the morning. We were told the had no ice buckets but handed us a plastic bag and told us to use that. Returned to the room when I discovered there were no towels....My fault for not reading the reviews before booking this hotel but we needed a hotel room for one night while visiting our daughter. We were told the had no ice buckets but handed us a plastic bag and told us to use that. Returned to the room when I discovered there were no towels. I phoned down to the front desk and asked for towels to be brought up and the young girl advised me I would need to come and get them (?). What customer service!? Returned to the room and at this point thought to myself if I'm paying 140.00 for a room I at least need to be comfortable about sleeping and eating there, which I was neither. Decided at that point we were not staying and returned down to the lobby to check out. The young girl at the desk told use there were no refunds but I did advise her I would be calling my credit card company to make sure the charges were not processed. The gentleman that was behind the desk offered us another room, I politely declined but he said just look at it. Figuring what have I got to lose we agreed. Second room was slightly higher in appearance. All the lights worked, TV worked, there was an ice bucket in the room and one towel. My husband went with the girl to get the towels and coffee from our other room as it was just 2 doors down. The room was still not the cleanest and I wish I had taken pictures to show but we were in a hurry at this point because we were late for dinner. Coffee maker was just as dirty but I had a white facecloth to clean it with which I proceeded to do so as I waited for...More
