We arrived late friday night. Clerk was not at front desk...had to wait about 5 minutes, but he finally came. Check in was no problem, as I had already reserved an excellent rate online...Got to room with husband, daughters 5 & 1, and niece 6...It was clean...but I discovered that the window was left open and there were several spiders on the ceiling. I am thinking that someone may have smoked in this room (it was a non-smoking room - #423), as it had a strange odor. Other than the odor the room was clean, bathroom clean, beds nicely made up. Next morning we went to the breakfast area off the lobby...they had eggs, sausage, toast, bagels, donuts, coffee, juice, etc. Very nice and saved us alot in going somewhere for breakfast. Since the hotel is about 1-1/2 miles from the Falls, we drove and parked down near them. The hotel does offer a free shuttle that runs every hour. We did not try it. When we arrived back that evening the room smelled much better...Housekeeping was there by 9 both mornings. Very nice lady. It is definitely an "older" hotel, but it was decent....We did go to the pool saturday evening with the kids. Very clean again. Warm water in the pool, and the hot tub was just that...Hot! Enjoyed it as we were the only ones in it. You will not be too disappointed staying here. It is away from the craziness of Clifton Hill and the rates were decent. enjoy.

I was glad to stay at this hotel. Everything was proper and the room was very comfortable. The staff was really helpful. They answered all of my questions. They were also friendly, talkative.

The bad sides were that no food was served after 10 am and the hotel is a bit far away from the main attraction center. But you can buy the tour package across the road and start from the White Water Walk and go down with buses to the main attraction centers. By the way, the tour buses run from 10 am to 5 pm, at least in April. So you should plan your trip accordingly.

We had never stayed at the Hampton Inn - North of the Falls before but were so pleased after our first night that we decided last minute to stay a 2nd night.

The rooms were big ... king sized bed and 2 person jacuzzi. Very clean, especially the bathrooms.

Customer service is by far the best we've ever experienced in Niagara Falls hotels. Even the maids in the morning were very friendly with us. We enjoyed the indoor swimming pool and whirlpool overlooking the river.

1st night we stayed in room 501 ... the elevator was very noisey in the morning, as other reviewers have written. So they gladly switched us to room 511 for the 2nd night and it was perfect. They even have lap-desks for your laptop computer on the bed.

The complimentary breakfast in the morning was outstanding! It included hot items such as pancakes, eggs, sausage, scones and much more.

The Hampton Inn - North of the Falls will be our hotel of choice from now on when visiting the falls.

We were quite happy with the cleanliness of the room and the quality of the breakfast especially given the fact that we got the room for $78 per night during the month of Aug.

It is located a couple of kilometers from Clifton hill, across the street from the White water walk.

The beds are not the most comfortable of any hotel I have been in, but they were satisfactory. The elevator noise is audible, but it would only likely be bothersome if someone was located right by the elevator or if they were very sensitive to noise. Actually there was very little other noise other than the elevator (No loud neighbours or TV's) so the noise factor was better in this hotel than most.

We stayed 2 nights this trip and i would most certainly consider staying her again if we return. There were no real frills, but there were no complaints either. Very good for niagara Falls.

Stayed here for a quick one night stay while visiting the falls. A bit away from the city action, but the hotel provides a free shuttle to 2 locations in town. Nice room, pool area, and lobby. Breakfast was typical for Hampton and very good. Staff was very helpful. For the price we paid a very good choice.

This hotel does not appear to have been built as a Hampton but rather is a converted property. It is older but in good shape and the rooms were of nice size and well kept. Free wireless internet, thought it was slow at times. The usual Hampton type continental breakfast was good and had something for everyone, including hot items. Most Hamptons have the USA Today paper in the lobby but since it does not publish on Saturday, no newspaper. A nice touch, this Hampton brings in the local paper on Saturdays. About the elevator, mentioned in other reviews, there are two at one end of the property and yes there is a evident groaning noise when they stop on the upper floors. If you are sensitive, I would stay on the first floor or away from them, such as in a room with the teen numbers, i.e. 416 not 406. The hotel is away from the falls and the "strip" atmosphere of the casinos and Clifton Hill, but they give you coupons for a free shuttle that has a 20% coupon on the back for the souvenir shop up the street. But we found it easy to drive to either casino and park in their garages with little fuss. Both casinos have the same owner, if you sign up for their players club, make sure you put the card in a slot machine and then so long as you gamble even just a little, when they run your card at the exit your parking will be free.
