“A great hotel with excellent views of both the Canadian and the American Falls”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2014

We stayed here on the 29th June 2014 and checked out on 30th June 2014. We stayed on the 33rd floor (3357 was the room number). The view was great but for the Casino. We should have stayed around the 50th floors (realized only after moving into the room).

We bought a package that includes Breakfast for 2 adults (it cost USD 379 + Taxes for one night) - 2 Room Tower King Suite Premium View (Jacuzzi/Fireplace). Our son who was 5 years old, ate free breakfast. Great breakfast buffet at the Grand Caffe. Custom made eggs. Overall a great experience (though typical breakfast options - waffles, cereals, breads, egg etc). Beverages served at your table. Dedicated waiters/waitresses.

Wife was very impressed with the room. Except one complaint that the Sofa was not properly placed to see the falls from within the room. Hence we moved the sofa ourselves and placed it in such a way to see both the falls through the glass windows.

King bed in the falls view room. Queen bed in the other room. Easy and quick checkout over phone. All the service folks at the hotel were very polite. Valet Parking is what we opted for. In/Out Privileges. It costs $24 to park yourself and $29 to use Valet. We chose the latter. Please do tip the Valets and it is very much appreciated.

Beware: No Microwave in room. Yes Refrigerator. So if you are with kids that require food to be heated up, then you will have to arrange for something else.

Side things not specifically meant for Hilton: We missed the fireworks by a whisker. The day we were there, we were not impressed by the illumination of the falls though.

If we come back to Canadian side of the Niagara again in the future, we would try the other hotels as well.

Room Tip: Better to look for rooms around the 50th floors. Otherwise if you are OK with the Casino interruptio...

stayed on the fourth of July holiday. too many people in the pool and in hallways, made elevator service very slow. a microwave in room would be of help to warm left overs. self parking is a big hassle.

We purchased a 2 night package for 2 from Groupon for July 7th and 8th. The total cost was $406.00. It came with vouchers for dinner and breakfast for each day. We were upgraded from a room with a city view to a room with and American Falls view. The fist night we used a voucher for $40.00 Brasa Brazilian steak House The bill after the voucher came $90 without the tip. This was the best deal of the 4 meals we had at the hotel. The second night we ate at then Watermark Restaurant. This restaurant has a great view of the falls. The voucher was good for $65.oo. We ordered the Prime rib priced at about $55.00 on the menu. The meal was good, but I can get the same thing at a local restaurant at home for around $16.00. The total bill after the voucher but before tip was $111.00. We did have a couple dinks each. Breakfast down stairs the first morning cost $24.00 after the voucher was subtracted. The breakfast the 2nd day up at the Watermark Restaurant was $34 after the voucher. Both buffets were the same, but the Watermark had the view. The quality of the buffet was just below fair with just the basic items. I would have much preferred breakfast at the IHOP. I far as I am concerned the $20.00 breakfast voucher is useless. One night we went into one of the bars for a beer. My wife ordered a Heineken and I a local IPA. The total was $17.00 plus, not including tip.
At around 4:30 the first morning the hotel fire alarm went of for about 15 minutes. We were told we could evacuate the building if we wished. Some guest walked down 30 plus flights of stairs to find out there was no fire. The hotel did nothing for the guest to make up for the inconvenience.
At least a free crappy breakfast buffet would have been something to make up for the fire alarm.
Self parking will cost you an additional $14.00 a day. Internet an additional $8.95 a day (or $14.95 a week). The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms we clean the view is great. The hotel is convenient to everything. Overall our average cost per day in Niagara Falls was much much more than our average cost per day in Hawaii a couple years ago.

We stayed here for just one night so wanted the best hotel and best view and room available. This was great and views were amassing of both American Falls and Niagara Falls! I would recommend this hotel BUT you have to pay extra for the view as you can expect.

All-in-all this Hilton was pretty good. The location is EXCELLENT. You are close to most everything and, really, never need to take your car out of the parking garage. Park across the street at the Casino (there is a covered walkway that goes to the hotel) and it is only $5 -- instead of $25/day that the hotel wants to charge. If you go into the casino and get the FREE Players Card, you never get charged for parking - at all. :) Also, it is not $5 per day -- it is only $5 for whatever day you leave with the car. So, you can basically park the car there for 3 days and, if you never take it out, only pay $5 when you leave, or nothing if you have the card.

The hotel itself was extremely clean. We had a two bedroom in the south tower on the 29th floor and it was great! It was a city view room, but we had a clear view of the American Falls and all the fireworks from our room. When you walk in, the bathroom is in front of you and then each bedroom is off to the right and left. The room was really big and so was the bathroom. My only complaint, as it always is, was the lighting in the bathroom. Too dark!! Why do all the hotels have such bad bathroom lighting??

We also stayed during the July 4th weekend & experienced the 4:50 am fire alarm. Walked down 29 flights and then used the elevator to get back up & get more sleep!

Be prepared when you go! Canada is expensive and the tax rate on everything is 13.5%! That means the restaurants are more expensive that you might be used to. The restaurants in the hotel are only average -- the food is not that good, except for the buffet breakfast which is actually very good. There is also a Starbucks and frozen yogurt place at the hotel. I would recommend going to Niagara on the Lake to eat (15 mins away) -- still expensive, but at least it's good or, ask a worker there where the locals eat.

I would recommend the hotel to anyone, but just know that anything in this area is expensive and yes, they do charge for the Wi-fi.

Room Tip: Ask for Room 2915 in the south tower. This is a 2 bedroom room, but it's huge and has a great v...

Falls view floor 27..couldn't have asked for a better experience. Pricey but worth it with fantastic location, service, package included breakfast and restaurant dinner voucher. As we walked around and looked at other hotel locations we were considering we were so glad our final decision was to stay here. Fireworks display watched from our room and to look out the window at the spectacular view was well worth every penny!!!

Room Tip: Upper level falls view hands down worth the upgrade!

Definitely not worth the money. The pool was fantastic for the kids and the view of the Falls was beautiful, but those do not make up for the exorbitant parking fees, the mouldy bathtub and broken faucets, the long wait times for any sort of service, and a myriad of minor complaints.
