“Great hotel for family with children”
Reviewed 11 March 2009

This was the second time that we stayed at this hotel. We went back because it was so convenient and inexpensive. The hotel is located about a block past the top of Clifton Hill, which makes it an easy walk to many attractions and restaurants. We also walked down to the falls but it is a longer walk. We booked a suite room since we have small children that go to bed earlier than we want to and this room worked beautifully. The bedroom was where the kids slept...there was room for a crib in there with the king bed. It is a separate room with a door. In the living room area there were actually two pull out sofas. The room is quite spacious...enough room for all of the kids stuff including a big stroller. In the kitchen area there is a mini fridge, sink and coffee maker. The bathroom was standard and clean. The indoor pool is great for kids and there is a hot tub as well (on our second trip it wasn't working but worked fine the first trip). The breakfast is nothing fancy but it has enough to fill us up (bagels, toast, cereal, mini muffins, some pastries, juice, tea, coffee...jam, butter, margarine, peanut butter but no cream cheese). It was an easy drive to Marineland, ZOOZ and the Butterfly Conservatory. There is outdoor parking and it is right beside the hotel with in and out priviledges.
If you are looking for a fancy hotel this is not the hotel for you. However, this hotel was perfect for a family vacation to see the sights of Niagara Falls.
We would definately return to this hotel again.

Very cheap, and very convinient for Niagara Falls/Clifton Hill. Short walks to shops/sightseeing and casino - yeah, and to the falls, less than 5 minutes.
Hotel still looked fresh, guess it is rather newly built. Would definately stay again for less than $40 a night.

This was our third stay at this hotel in 4 trips to the Falls area. We are discussing going back again soon. We don't have any complaints about the hotel. We've always received courteous service and like being able to park the car for free and walk to the Falls without having to move the car again until we leave (or drive to Marineland which is too far to walk). We've stayed in a queen room as well as both types of queen suites (one room and two room). Always have had microwave and refrigerator which comes in handy. When you come to the area during the summer/fall months, you MUST buy the Niagara Parks adventure pass. You get entry to the Maid of the Mist, Journey Behind the Falls, White Water Walk, Butterfly Conservatory, all day bus pass and various other discounts for the area. Very good price and no hassle entry to the attractions. Have a trip of your lifetime that is inexpensive, enjoyable, and full of memories.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel numerous times before and quite enjoyed it. We just returned from a two-day stay with our two young children in a suite and it was quite a disappointment. We tried booking the room online, but the Days Inn offers a discount (15%) if you pay in full upfront. There was not anywhere, however, to enter the discount code, so we called to book the room. The woman on the phone was terrible. It took almost 30 minutes to complete the transaction, she was, however, able to get us an even better rate than the online one on a 2 queen suite room. Once we arrived at the hotel though, we discovered she had booked the wrong kind of room (although we went over this with her at length) and asked to be switched to the two queen suite. The front desk staff did this immediately and apologized for the inconvenience, but had to charge us the higher rate ($75 rather than $65 we had been told on the phone). The room (room 103 in case you end up there) was a disappointment. It was much worse than any of the other rooms we had stayed in in this hotel. The carpet was stained, the furniture scuffed, old, and mismatched, and there was even a hole in the wall. It was very dated. The room was also fairly dark. The sofa bed mattress was horrible. The wallpaper looked like that my grandmother had in the '70s. There were CFLs in all the lights (which I generally like), but they were pot lights so the CFLs stuck out of the ceiling and were very hard on the eyes.

The breakfast selection was also very sparse. No fruit, pastries, or muffins, not even cream cheese for bagels. They were also out of newspapers one of the days we were there. The pool hours also start late (10 am), which is tough when you're with kids who want to swim the moment they get up.

Things you might want to know: there is no door between the rooms in the suite.

Spent a one-night stay at this hotel. We picked it because of its AAA rate ($45 CAD w/ AAA on weekday) and proximity to Clifton Hill and Casino Niagara. We had no idea how nice this hotel would be!

The Front Desk staff was very pleasant, especially Sunny, who was very polite and worked to make sure we were satisfied with the room. Even with a crowded lobby of customers, he was able to treat each with a personal touch.

The lobby was very impressively decorated, with ample parking outside for checkin.

The room itself was very clean, and was a comfortable temperature at checkin. The room TV offered Pay Per View video of recent theater release movies, though we didn't partake. The TV itself only seemed to get 10 cable channels, but it hardly detracted from our overall experience- If you're going to Niagara Falls, there's plenty more to do than watch TV in your hotel room.

We didn't use the indoor pool or exercise room, though both looked inviting and clean.

The Free Breakfast was a standard continental- danishes, toast, bagels, muffins, cereal, milk, juice and coffee. Each item was fresh, and was a very enjoyable way to start the day.

I highly recommend this location to anyone who is planning on staying on the Canadian side of The Falls.
