My husband and I packed up and headed to Niagara Falls last month, as a last minute getaway. Since we did not have a hotel booked, we went straight to The Diplomat Inn to see if they had any rooms. The couple at the front desk were so friendly. The jacuzzi room was clean but the decor was a little dated (then again, you're not there to look at the walls while your at a hotel). The room was cheap and cheerful! They even offered us a late check-out aty no extra cost.
I will be going back in December for another getaway! The location is great! Walking distance from everything!
On top of that, we forgot our cell phone charging in the room after we checked out! Housekeeping found it and the owner came straight out with it while we were packing our car. Thank you.

This hotel is a good choice for either singles, a couple, and even families. It is really close walking distance to both the fallsview side and the clifton hill activity. The service was fast and the staff were really nice & friendly. This hotle actually has keys instead of those swipe cards that always get deactivated. We noticed a musty smell when we first entered our room and strangely there was a crib inside! The rooms are very out dated and the beds weren't like the hilton, but it was just fine. I think the bathrooms could use a remodeling, but otherwise the bathroom was very clean. The shower had a good pressure and the water heated quickly. The soap provided was very drying to my skin, so I would bring my own from home next time. The beds were clean with nice fresh white sheets - no stains and no bugs. The parking is free and the internet at the Ramada across the street is available at no cost (no password)!!! I really liked our room on the second floor by the back door. There is no elevator, but we didn't mind taking the stairs! Overall, we had a great time and would recommend this hotel to anyone else who is looking to getaway on a budget. The staff is nice, the rooms are clean and the location is unbeatable!

The outside looks good, but the inside not so much. We got a "Non-Smoking" room, but once we opened the door, we knew it wasn't the case. We asked to switch to another "non-smoking", got one, but the smell of smoke was even stronger! The signal for the Internet also didn't reach the room. Next time I'll be sure to first look at a room before paying!

Great motel, extra friendly staff, and fantastic price. We stayed for three nights and couldn't have been happier. We had stayed at another motel close the this one, and while the owner/staff were great, the traffic and AC noise were deafining.

Room Tip: All rooms seemed great.

Loved the hand written empty envelope from housekeeping wishing me a wonderful stay, I've never had that before!!
I never established if it was the brusk house keeper who was (clearly stressed) on the front counter the following morning who wrote this but don't think a tip was warranted on cleanliness or on the customer service front.
One point for the very friendly helpful & friendly owner, another for having bed & toilet in the room

+ Very friendly and helpful staff!
+ Clean and big room, comfortable beds.
+ Location ok, within walking distances to major sites.

-The room smelled moldy, and you didn´t want to walk barefoot on your room´s floor (carpet felt so dirty)
- Poor/non-existing air ventilation
- no AC (or it wasn´t working)

PS. For great and cheap hamburgers, visit DQ locating almost next door. ; )
