“A nice visit”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

The butterfly enclosure is beautiful and we had a nice visit. My husband took many pictures. It was quite busy on this Saturday afternoon and my only complaint is baby strollers. The paths are narrow and strollers are just annoying. Maybe they can limit the number of strollers in the exhibit at one time.

“Only nature can produce such beauty.”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

Many species of butterflies and an absolutely beautiful venue for them to enjoy as well as the visitors. If you want food; however, be prepared for a long wait as the sandwich shop has almost no employees.

“Was Surprised By How Good It Was”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

They have more butterflies than you have ever seen anywhere else. Colors, colors, colors. Noticing other comments about cost...we had this as part of a tour so did not see the actual cost, but if you combine this with the other places we stopped there were definite discounts involved. I think that would be the best way to do this.

“pricey”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

We balked when told the cost for two adults was $32. We'd misplaced a coupon for $2 off for each, but $28 would still be high, in our opinion. Go if you have a better discount from a pass or coupon -- or if you can afford it!
On the plus side, it's at the top of the WeGo green bus route, which stops at the entrance, and the bus ride down the gorge is lovely. The grounds of the botanical garden seemed free to walk around, but it was very wet and not much had grown in our late spring.

“Worth the time”
Reviewed 5 May 2014

At first I thought, "why would I take the time away from Niagara Falls to go see butterflies?!". But after going there only because it was part of the Wonder Pass, I'm glad we saw it. It's fairly close, and quite amazing how many beautiful butterflies are there. If you take the time to just stroll around, I guarantee some will land on you. They're absolutely beautiful, and so delicate. Beware though: it is HOT in there!
