“Too many hassles and problems!”
Reviewed 11 August 2014

First impressions gained on arrival at a hotel are usually lasting impressions. I generally stay away from large “corporate” hotels and this place reminded me why.
Firstly, I didn’t like the valet parking caper, on arrival – too much hassle especially when young children are involved – and expensive. Secondly the lobby was busy and noisy, bordering on chaotic – and this was winter!
Thirdly, we were kept waiting till 8pm (about 6 hours!) for one of our two rooms to be ready, so all 6 of us (4 adults and 2 kids, 5 and 3yo) had to share the one room for kids dinner, bath, bedtime, etc. And when the room was finally ready, the key didn’t work. Very inconvenient and way too much hassle!
As for the incredible and chaotic breakfast, we took reviewer’s advice and got in relatively early to avoid the queues.
Once all the “issues” had been sorted out, we were finally able to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Canadian and American Falls from the comfort of our room!

Room Tip: On the Falls side!

I reserved a suite for Thursday, 7 Aug 2014 for my girlfriend and I. View of the falls from the bedroom, 564 square feet, 2 room suite with 1 king bed. $508 for 1 night was the total for the room breakfast. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the hotel staff who advised me of my 2 parking options: $25 for basic off site valet parking or $35 for off site preferred valet service. Really?? Extra parking fees were not mentioned in the reservation I made online.
The total price included a tourism improvement fee of $24.65. I think that business is missing the point here - the point being that increased tourism benefits business and tourists generally respond negatively to extra fees that they would not incur elsewhere.
The room (#3202) had a great view of the falls but other than that was rather ordinary.
The next morning I tried to make coffee in the room but noticed there were no coffee filters. Breakfast ended at 10:30 and we didn't feel like waiting in a huge line so we checked out and ate elsewhere. Overall, very underwhelming.

This is more of a review of niagra falls than embassy suites but here goes. Niagra has changed a lot since I was a kid and resembles a smaller, cheaper Las Vegas. This embassy suites is huge, hectic and outdated in design and color. Our room was clean with a nice view. The lounge where you get your complimentary drink at night and have breakfast in the morning was depressing due to a shabby interior. My guess is that the offering at embassy is in keeping with the places everywhere else in niagra. If you are only going to do the fall boat tour, I wouldn't bother spending the night.

This hotel has it all! Views, amenities, comfort, great customer service, and professionalism! We transferred to this hotel from another one in town after a rough night. We were treated with the utmost respect and dignity. From the valet staff, bell staff, front desk, and everyone in between were consummate professionals. The room was pristine and very comfortable. The views of the falls from our room made it difficult to leave. This is what luxury is all about. The adage is there for a reason, "you get what you pay for", and Embassy Suites made that a reality.

excellent hotel with fabulous view of the falls from some of the rooms. Upgrade to a room with a view. The breakfast is great and the breakfast dining room has a front row view of the falls too. Rooms are clean and large. Can walk to niagra falls from the hotel. Parking at hotel costs 20 per night, but cheaper if you park at the casino next door. Better to stay on the canada side of the falls rather than the US side.

Room Tip: upgrade to a room with a view of niagra falls--it is worth it!!

I don't think I will ever stay in a high rise hotel after staying at the Embassy Suites in Niagara Falls. The only good thing about it was its proximity to the Falls. Since we didn't have a "Falls View" it didn't matter.
Problems:
#1 Parking. We didn't want valet parking but the rude attendant said - "Here's the deal. For $35 we'll put your car under cover and you can take it out as often as you want. For $25 we'll take your car off premise and we'll take you by van to get it back". Well, there's a no-brainer!

#2 Elevators. FIVE elevators for floors 9 through 43! We waited forever so many times.

#3. Snacks. Are you kidding? Chips, pickles, moldy carrots/dip, and tons of children reaching into the bowls with their hands.

Good things:

The breakfast was nice!

Our rooms were clean!

Bottoms line - I will never stay at an Embassy Suites again.

If you are only going to stay in Niagara Falls for 1-2 nights, a place in Canada with a direct view of the falls is the way to go.

Although our room only overlooked the Horseshoe Falls (and off to the side), it was still - THERE! Also, the hotel is situated at the top of the Niagara Funicular directly above the main Visitor Center.

The indoor pool is situated on an upper floor and has an OK view of the surrounding areas, plus is large for a hotel pool.

The price is more expensive than other hotels, but then how many other hotels have a direct overlook of the falls?

Room Tip: Rooms on the "North" side will have the best view of the falls (as well as viewing both Am...
