Journey Behind the Falls
Reviewed 16 May 2014

It was so amazing that you could get that close to the water coming over the falls. Listening to the water makes you feel like you are in a barrel going over the falls. It was a great adventure for sure

We all enjoyed the journey behind the falls. The rain covers provided were too big for our 2 year old but they at least did have a child size available.

This is amazing and you need to do this to hear and feel the falls . The roar of the falls is like thunder and you feel like the tunnels are shaking when you walk through it. This is something you must do. Unfortunately the lower platform was closed as there was still a lot of ice so April is probably not the best time to go but it was still amazing. It is hard to take a photograph here as there is hardly any light so there is no choice but to purchase the picture taken at the shop !

You go down an e elevator and come out behind the falls. You given ponchos because if you want to get closer you will get wet. There is so much power in the falls and walking through the caverns and seeing and haunting it up close is great.

This is a must while in the area. you can truly feel, and hear the falls from underneath to have truly experienced their power. You sign up, and go down an elevator through the welcome center. You walk through the tunnels and look through the holes in the cliff at the water falling down. You can walk outside at the base of the falls, as well. Unfortunately, we were there in April, but there was still too much ice to go all the way outside to the lower observation deck. On the upside, there were no lines to go down. Still, there were a lot of tourists there, the majority non english speaking, or lacking of common sense. Because of this it was very difficult to get good pictures. It was only April, I can't imagine what the crowds are like in the summer.
