Having used other vacation rental sites in the past this was the first time I have used TripAdvisor for a vacation rental. Working with the homeowner Helen was a very pleasant experience, she responded to my questions promptly before and during the time we stayed in her home. There were 2 adults and a 7 year old staying at the house.
This Victorian home is lovely and has nice upgrades to the kitchen and bathrooms. We felt very comfortable not only in the home but also with the neighborhood.
I respect the fact that the homeowner has put effort into keeping the home decorated in a period antique style. One must expect home of this age to creek. Most of the floors on both levels and the staircase are original which gave the home a lot of character. Many of the furnishing are antique. The beds in the master bedroom and secondary bedroom at the top of the stairs appear to be antique and squeak terribly. The mattresses were very uncomfortable as well. If I would offer one suggestion to the homeowner it would be to replace both the beds entirely.
Once again this is a lovely home, in a lovely quite neighborhood, 5 minutes by car to the main downtown area and Rainbow Bridge to NY.
3 parks I would highly recommend if you are looking to get away from the crowds for a day.

I rented this house for our vacation to Niagara Falls with my husband and three teenagers. It is a beautiful old house and very comfortable. Great location close to the falls, but in a nice neighborhood and away from the hustle of the city. Minutes from the falls and many attractions.
