Our family stopped here while at the falls and it was busy we had to drive around a few times to get a spot, It is a great nature area with ducks geese turtles and other pond animals. It was a great peaceful walk and out family really enjoyed it. Nice groomed paths, picnic tables and BBQs for those who want to picnic. Such a nice break from the money grab tourist traps

Great place for visitors to get away from the crowds . We visit the Islands quite often. At Christmas time for sure to see the lights ( please donate when you leave ) We are local seniors. We bring our lunch and enjoy sitting by the water, feeding the birds and people watching. On weekends, we think it's great to see large families around the built-in BBQ's cooking their national foods . When we have a gang of out-of-towners we stop at some sub place to get everyone their own sandwich, drink and off we go to the islands. Great fun, easy and the kids love the wildlife and the nature walk. We need more picnic tables maybe a few of the so called "senior friendly tables".

Well worth a visit during the Christmas period. While you are in a long line to view the lights and displays, the cars move along slowly but steadily. There is an opportunity to give a donation before you exit the area to help with the cost of the lights.

Dufferin Islands Park is a nice retreat from the crowds in the falls area. We visited late in the day on an overcast day and the park was not crowded. There are lots of easy paths to walk on that take you through woods, around a pond and across several small streams. You can also leave the park area and cross the street to walk along the Niagara River and see the water that flows to the falls. This was a nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of the falls area.
