“Very nice hotel with a great location”
Reviewed 4 March 2014

My husband and I just got back from our anniversary vacation in Niagara Falls. We stayed at the Wyndham Gardens which was a very nice hotel. Upon entering the hotel it appears to be recently redone and everything is very modern and clean. Our room which was on the top floor did not offer any kind of a view other then a parking lot but the room was also redone and spotlessly clean. The bed was sooooo comfortable! As mentioned in previous posts the jacuzzi tub did take a while to fill but it was so worth the wait especially after a cold day outside at the falls.
The hotel is within a short walking distance to all the main attractions. 10 minutes to the falls and Clifton hill and 5 minutes to the skylon tower or casino. There is a bus stop right outside for the days you don't feel like walking. The hotel also has a on site Perkins restaurant and a bar in the lounge which serves drinks and some light food options which was great to have right there. We sat one night in the lounge to watch the oscars and have some food and drinks and the service was great! The front desk staff as also very helpful and friendly.
The only reason I did not give the hotel a 5 is because of the noise level we experienced one night with some rude guests that thought it was ok to blast their music throughout the night and again at 6am keeping us awake all night and even tough the hotel tried to rectify this experience by blocking the rooms around us the next night it still did not correct the fact we got no sleep that night and they didn't do much when we called security 5-6 times and got a response that they couldn't find the source of the noise, really??? Try the room below us if it's not next to us, common sense. I would have expected a room comp or at least refund me parking for a day to say I'm sorry for the inconvenience. That being said if not for rude guests we had a great stay at the Wyndham and if we were to return to Niagara we would definitely consider staying here again,
$12 a day to park but that seems about the norm and worth it to know your car a maybe a little safer then if u left it in the cheaper lot accross the street that seemed to be deserted.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away for the elevators or u here all the noise from other guests coming and going. T...

We stayed at this hotel in February of this year (2014) and look forward to returning. We booked through one of the travel discount sites and received a very nice selection of discount coupons to also use. The pool was small but nice, the hotel bar was a quaint little spot to have a drink and the onsite Perkins restaurant we used for our morning breakfast as well it's a short walk to the Falls Casino. The room was clean and suitable size. Overall we had a great time, the only negative was that a $12 parking fee seems a little steep to be included.

Room Tip: We were on cityview side of hotel, would like to see what the other side view was like.

Groupon purchase. My partner and I stayed two nights. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Marshal the conceirge was very helpful and quite charming. It was nice to relax in the lounge with complimentary wine/beer, while watching the Olympics on the 80" Sharpe TV. Pool and fitness area was clean and easily accessible. Would be nice if the room had a mini fridge. The hotel is conveniently located between both casinos. We would visit again.

Room Tip: Odd # floors have Ice machines and Even# floors have vending machines

Stayed here on a WagJag coupon. Great room, lots of coupons to be used, close
to things like the Imax and Casino, walking distance to the Falls. Front desk personnel really helpful. Parking was $12.00 but could be used after check out until 6 p.m .which was a bonus. Heated pool was great but would have been nice
to have a change room right there. Great beds. Definitely made for a great mini vacation.

Stayed here on a Travelzoo coupon. Hotel is very nice, staff was exceptional, room was great! Not 'fallsview' but close to everything. If it wasn't 11 degrees Fahrenheit, we could have walked everywhere. There are casinos, restaurants and, of course, the falls a short distance away. Only issue was $ 12.00 to park, but given the location, etc., that wasn't too bad. Would probably return.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel using a Groupon that I had purchased. For the price we paid, we were very pleased with the hotel. Our package included two free drinks at the hotel bar - the options included only white/red house wine or beer (domestic). No issues with that - it's free!

Our room was on the 4th floor, looking out onto the parking lot. Due to this hotel's location, you will not have a view of the Falls, but the city view from a higher floor might be nice.

The rooms are very basic - king bed, tv, ironing board, phone, coffeemaker. The room we were given was wheelchair accessible. This was most obvious in the washroom, which was huge; however, due to the design of the shower, it leaked water all over the floor. A bit of a pain, but not a big deal. I'm not sure if all of the rooms are designed like this or not. Water pressure was low in the shower, and the shower head was very low. Likely because it was an accessibility room. Made for a slightly uncomfortable showering experience, but again, it was not a big deal.

All in all, this hotel was very pleasant, clean, and easy to access. Do not expect bells and whistles from this hotel. Front desk staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Overall a positive experience. It was a very solid 3-star hotel.

Room Tip: Request a room away from the ice machine - the noise from the ice machine is loud and very disruptiv...

We stayed here for one night while visiting Niagara Falls. We arrived at noon and were actually able to check-in early thanks to the wonderful front desk attendant. The room was in perfect shape - newer and immaculate. The accommodations in the room were wonderful as well - a very comfortable bed and we loved the shower. The hotel was also very quiet so we had a good night of sleep without hearing anyone else. This hotel is within walking distance to the Skylon Tower and many restaurants. All in all, we were thrilled with this hotel and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to the Falls.
