“Great Stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2014

We stayed overnight two nights from July 12th - July 14th. The breakfast was typical mid-budget fair (make your own waffles, eggs, cereal, etc.). The syrup wasn't bad tasting like another reviewer said in his/her review. Maybe they accidentally used the diet syrup. The breakfast was plentiful when we went to eat at 0700 and 0730 in the morning. So, I don't think anyone that had kids missed out on having a decent breakfast since we were the ones there that early eating. I guess the guest that stated they had to wait in a line with 50 people and couldn't find a seat to sit down were probably there after 0900 or right before the breakfast room closes at 1000. The ladies that worked in the breakfast room were diligent in clearing the dirty dishes tub before one was even half full. They kept everything well-stocked when I was there for breakfast. The staff at this hotel are very hard-working and friendly and do not hesitate to answer any questions on how to get somewhere, etc. I'm glad the lady at the front desk told us to have at least two dollars in quarters on us (family of four) to go over to the U.S. side of the falls because it takes exactly 50 cents in Canadian money per person to go over. That was great advice. When I checked in at 3 p.m. on the dot on July 12th, I got key cards for a room on the 4th floor that was extremely close to the elevators. I had to go right back to the front desk and request the room be changed because of that and because I knew my husband would have requested the change. The lady was happy to change me to a room on the 5th floor much further from the elevators. I never understood why when someone checks in to a hotel early that they are sometimes penalized for it by getting a not-so-great room. It should be the other way around. They should get the better rooms first for checking in early. When someone honors their reservations at a decent hour in a hotel, that should count for something. The pool was great. It was nice and big. The room was nice and clean with a fridge. The hotel was nice and clean with a bathroom downstairs for use when someone needed to use the bathroom and the one in their hotel room was in use. The hotel is close to everything and a short walk to the rainbow bridge to go over to the U.S. side of the Falls. Prime location for not as much as those "Falls View" hotels charge. When you are spending most of your time outside of your room, why do you need a "Falls View" hotel for anyway. Walk to the falls and you will "see" the Falls like you should! If I ever plan to go to that area again, I will definitely stay at the Country Inn and Suites!

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the elevator and ice machine.

We booked here since it was decently close to all of the attractions for a good price. We ended up being very impressed.

All of the staff was very friendly, they even told us to go to the Casinos to get the best exchange rates.

The room was much bigger than we thought it would be (king suite)! We had plenty of room to set up our pack n play ad still had plenty of room for our baby to play on the floor. We even could hang out on the couch away from the pack n play while he slept.

We ended up being able to walk almost everywhere including Skylon and down to the falls themselves.

The only thing we didn't like was the food. It all tasted way too processed and sugared. So we ended up eating out every breakfast. Which meant more money and less time for attractions. But - with that being the only complaint I would totally stay here again!

Excellent value for the money. Very friendly staff...never had so many housekeeping people greet me everywhere I went. Free wifi, and a "pizza" button on the phone, which connects you to a local pizza delivery joint. Fantastically easy.

Within walking distance (about 300 footsteps!) to Casino Niagara (recommend the very affordable and excellent lunch and dinner buffets...beats the nearby Perkins, which was WAY overpriced).

Hotel's free breakfast was satisfying, room clean and spacious, adjacent to the Clifton Hill madness which is great for kids, very close to WEGO blue line stops.

All in all a solid value, much cheaper than many of the other hotels. You don't need a fallsview...after 10 minutes of looking at it, you'll wonder what's on tv!

My family visited Niagara Falls and was looking for a hotel that was conveniently located near all of the attractions, clean, yet was reasonably priced. Country Inn & Suites fit the requirements.

The hotel was located just a few blocks from the main attractions in the area and close to the bus for those that were not. Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel offers many ammenties that we enjoyed during our stay (pool, refrigerator, ice machine). My husband enjoyed the books in the lobby. The cookies were an added nice touch.

I highly recommend this hotel.

Our family vacation at Niagara Falls, ON was extra special due to staying at this hotel which is close to the falls and area attractions. We just parked at the hotel and walked to everything that we wanted to do- everything was in walking distance. Staff at this hotel were very helpful and offered great suggestions on how to best enjoy the area. Rooms at this hotel were clean and quiet. Pool and hot tub were enjoyable after a day of enjoying attractions.

This location was probably the nicest Country Inn & Suites we have stayed at, and not just because of the cleanliness. This was our family's first time in Canada/Niagara Falls and the manager on duty was extremely kind and generous with telling us all the sights to see. He asked how old our kids were and gave age-appropriate recommendations.

During the summer you can see Fireworks on the weekends and on Wednesday nights. It was raining when we were there on a Sunday night but you could watch the fireworks from the top 2 floors of the hotel.

The breakfast was above average for a CI&S but it tended to be fairly busy with all the tourists such as ourselves.

The rooms & bathrooms were very clean and quiet at night. The A/C unit worked perfectly and we had no issues with hotel or street noise whatsoever.

The hotel is located only a 2 minute walk away from Clifton Hills and all the shops/museums/restaurants, and only a 5-10 minute walk to the falls.

Room Tip: Higher floors are quietest.

I stayed there while traveling with friends. The hotel was ok, breakfast was ok, but the location was a great! it was priced right for what you get! The beds were confortable, the bathrooms were clean but the walls were pretty thin and you can hear anyone closing or opening doors close by.
