We stumbled on this gem by accident, and loved it. It had the cleanest rooms we have run across, a comfortable and commodious place to sleep, and breakfast that was not only well-prepared but intriguingly different. It was well located, close to "downtown" and the Festival Theatre. The owner made us feel at home from the moment of arrival.

We shall certainly keep Finlay House in mond for our next Niagara experience.

My husband just returned from our wonderful stay at the Finlay House. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. Upon arrival, we received a very warm welcome and tour from our hostess and owner, Stephanie. We also met her husband and darling son - what a delightful family! We stayed in the Chattam room on the main floor, and it was very cozy with a large flat screen tv and a separate private bathroom just a few steps away. Since we had the entire house to ourselves, we were able to enjoy the living room area, where we cuddled in a blanket and watched the mesmerizing fireplace. Breakfast was exquisite, with a delicious poached egg, apricot and yogurt dish, followed buy a wonderful quiche, bacon and berries dish. Stephanie is definitely a wonderful cook! We loved all of the special touches in the house, including all of the hand-made mennonite furniture that made the house feel so warm. We can't wait to go again, and will stay for 2 nights next time! I just returned from my stay at Finlay and we all agreed to go back! I have to say I found this place on BB Canada by chance because I was traveling with my Mom and her girlfriend and I was looking for a B&B to accomodate three single ladies. Finlay had a room with two single beds and a VERY comfortable cot, perfect for a girls pajama party. The room was large, light and airy had a big flat screen tv, a small refridgerator, big comfy towles and a decent size bathroom. All very cozy and modern. The entrance, living room, and dining area are all seperate from our host, Stephanie's family living quarters. Stephanie is always there if you need something or have any questions and she was most warm and welcoming. Her breakfast was too die for! We had poached pears in rasberries and fresh cream with creme brulee french toast and bacon one morning and and equally fantastic quiche the next. Pluses, were ample and free parking, and a 2min walk into town! Two blocks from the Irish Harp pub with great food and great entertainment! Cozy, clean rooms with terrific breakfast, and a warm and wonderful scottish hostess!Minuses, none that we found in our two day stay! We will have to go back just to make sure!
