“Budget accommodation with great location”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

We stayed for four nights in late July 2014; Very good location, on Niagara College Campus; These are student residences, so accommodation is very basic and utilitarian. CRT TV set. Kitchenette has a fridge, microwave oven and sink, but no stove; Room service/maintenance could be better; Very friendly staff at reception desk; Bike room was a plus; Breakfast room was very crowded, which is not a surprise, considering that it only has six (?!) tables, with 5-10 minutes lineups for toaster. How difficult is to add a few tables in patio and an extra toaster machine? On-campus restaurant "Benchmark" is a must - a true gourmet experience on budget. Oh, yes, it's within walking distance to college's brewery and wine center. We would stay there again.

This hotel was fine for one night...it was very reasonably priced and only about 15 min drive away from where we went for entertainment and food. However, it is part of a college and we got the feeling as if it is used as a dorm also. Very industrial...cement walls and floor, no art or pictures on the walls, no comforter on the bed just a sheet with a blanket. Plenty of space for the money however...2 large bedrooms with closets, desks, tv's (in each bedroom), a large full bathroom, a large kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, kitchen table with 2 chairs and cupboards/drawers/counter space. Great continental breakfast included. Free parking. Fast elevators. Would have enjoyed a pool and a little bit more cozy atmosphere, but for $100 a night it was fine. Very comfortable and great front desk employees.

Room Tip: There was a huge event going on the night we were there...however we didn't hear anything becaus...

We recently stayed here while visiting Niagara-on-the-Lake. It is very close to the new outlet mall and about a 15-20 minute drive to main part of the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. The area is very beautiful with vineyards and wineries everywhere. The room was great with 2 bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen with a refrigerator and microwave. Each room has its own TV. The only complaint we had was that we found the lighting in the kitchen area and the bathroom to be quite dim. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Continental breakfast was served and hot chocolate, coffee and tea was available 24 hours a day. We stayed on a weekend, on the 6th floor and it was very quiet. You just need to remember that you are staying in a student residence and not a 4 star hotel. We would definitely come back here when in the area.

Our daughter was being married at Queenston and the b&bs locally wanted a 2-night booking. She had attended this college, so knew about the summer rentals. Booking was a breeze, desk staff was courteous, efficient and very professional. Breakfast room is a little small, but we managed. Rooms are clean, basic, but comfortable. 4 of us stayed here and you can't beat the price. I mentioned to the front desk that they should raise their prices. I do agree with other comments that the lighting in the bathroom is slightly freaky, but they provided toiletries which was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend. Thank you to the night and day staff on the front desk-good job.

We were a group of hikers and this spot was perfect for us. Two people shared a dorm room and so were able to have separate bedrooms while sharing the kitchen and bathroom for a very reasonable rate. The people at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean.
My only complaint would be the lighting. There is not enough of it even in the bathroom.
There is no wifi in the rooms. Only wired. The front desk did have cables and offered to lend but this works for laptops but unfortunately all I brought was a mini-Ipad. Wifi is available in the lobby.
Breakfast was included and consisted of cereal, a few fruits, bagels etc., juices and coffee, tea. We were up and out early hiking and so this was sufficient for our purposes. A Keurig machine was also in the lobby and was available at all times.

We recently stayed two nights at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Residence and Conference Centre while attending a conference at Brock University.

From the date of booking our reservation until checkout, the staff went out of their way to provide for our needs. They welcomed us with smiles, had pleasant attitudes, provided maps and directions, had great suggestions for dinning, offered tea and coffee all day (and night) and they were always polite and accommodating no matter how busy they were.

Our spacious suite may be a school dorm, but it was very clean upon arrival and so perfect for two people to share. Breakfast was available downstairs, but you had the option of eating in your own suite kitchen.

I would definitely recommend staying at the Residence and Conference Centre.
